GP5000 QUALITY

So far, excellent
5Upgrading from the astoundingly accomplished Continental GatorSkins, which roll okay, but just don't seem to puncture. So far the GP5000s have been superb. Faster, noticeably faster, but also smoother rolling (at 100 psi) and so far no punctures (but it is early days, with about 200kms covered so far.) Very happy at this stage.

Continental tyres
5After installing these GP5000 tyres I noticed the grip in an instance. Especially now more than ever in Melbourne Australia winter has really settled in. I recommend these tyres in the dry and in the wet. Great choice!

25mm upgrade
5Bought these to replace the 23mm contis on my Cannondale SiX13. Great choice and ride feels smoother already. Tough to get on but worth the effort. Might get some 28mm for my Trek AL3

Best All-rounder tire, period
5The Continental GP 5000 is the gold standard by which all other tires should be measured. They really are in a league of their own. While Not the absolute best racing tire on the market, they are better than most in every metric important to racing while still being an excellent choice for everyday riding and training. There is not another tire that even comes close to the GP 5000 racing performance while still being a tire you can leave on your bike every day, worry free. Puncture resistance is excellent, even by endurance tire standards, grip in all conditions is amazing, road feel and feedback is confident inspiring and they are nearly as comfortable as the most supple tires made, with extreme vibration damping qualities. The tires are relatively cut resistant and they last about as long as typical, high performance tires. (as a 60kg rider, I get about 2500-3000 miles on the rear tire). You can not go wrong with these tires, not sure why anyone would bother riding anything else. I am always perplexed by people complaining about punctures. All tires will puncture, (unless you want to ride solid rubber Tannus tires). However, many flats can be avoided if you simply inspect your tire, especially the rear, after each ride and pull out any glass, flint, or metal shards that may have embedded in the tread during your ride. Many flats are caused by people leaving this in the tire and continuing to ride day after day until they final work deep enough to puncture. Whether you got zero or 10 punctures is really a matter of luck and making sure you look after the tire. What really matters is how does the tire ride, roll, grip and hold up over time. On those measures, the GP 5000 is simply the BEST.

Conti 5000
5Happy so far with these tires. First time on 25mm and they do seem to soak up a little more of the road than 23mm. I read reviews about hard to put on but really didn’t experience that issue. I’ll have to see how they hold up once I get a 1000 miles on them.

Conti 5000 grand Prix Clincher
5This is the best clincher road tire there is in my opinion, for durability, puncture resistance, performance, road feel, cornering. I don't know why anyone would buy a different clincher tire than this for everyday training riding.
