Comfortable shorts.
4I’m really happy with these shorts. I only bought them because of the sale price and thought I’d take a punt. The pad is very thin which may put some people off but for me personally, it’s a positive. I’ve used them on a couple of 4hr rides and they’re as comfortable as my more expensive shorts. Nice and tight around the leg gripper, which (I hope) will ensure they don’t slide up when using knee warmers. I’ve only had them three days, so I can’t yet comment on longevity.
Report this reviewGreat shorts. Small fit
4I love these shorts, but they are a small fit. Definitely have to go up a size when ordering them.
Report this reviewGreat bibs, except for sizing.
4This is my 2nd review of these great bib shorts. Last year I purchased a size LARGE. I bought them again this year because of their quality to price ratio. You must be aware of the sizing, I am 5'7", 175lbs. Last year I bought a size large and felt that I was going to split the seams just putting them on. The LARGE was VERY tight on me. They have lasted very well without any issues. This year I went with an EXTRA LARGE, they fit great except that the straps feel slightly too long. The little thigh pocket is basically useless. Would definitely purchase again.

5Nice shorts. Good materials. Make sure you order one or two sizes larger than you usually would if you're North American. I wear M or L in most brands but had to go XL in these shorts.
Report this reviewSize comes up too small
3These look a nice piece of kit but I've had to return them because they're far too small. I've been wearing Santini bib shorts for the past decade ("Slice", "Gara", and Gara2"). Both L and XL have fitted me comfortably but I could hardly get into the Mago XL. Comparing them to my previous Santini bibs, they're only slightly smaller when laid flat, but they don't stretch (the lack of stretch is way beyond compression). If there is a larger size, the legs would extend below my knees. So they've had to go back for a refund.
Report this reviewVery small fit
2I usually wear medium Santini knicks as I have a 32 waist. However I can barely fit into a Large size, XL would have been a better choice. The make of the knicks are not too bad.
Report this reviewVery firm/thin chamois, thick lycra. Not good for training or long rides.
1The size & fit was spot on (60kgs, 175cm, Size small), they are definitely of 'sturdy construction'. These bib shorts have an extremely thin and firm chamois. I was actually quite shocked when I open & first inspected. I have many pairs of Santini with the Gel GITevo chamois which for me is perfect for long rides or hard training intervals but the chamois on the Mago's is completely different and personally cannot provide the padding I need. After a session of hard intervals my sit bones were actually sore! Have never had this issue before from any other nicks (I have several pairs of very thin chamois, ultra light summer nicks - no issues). I found the Lycra, although advertised as light weight, actually thicker then the average bibs and quite course. You get what you pay for and while the service and delivery was prompt and hassle free - thank you PBK - unfortunately I cannot recommend these bibs to serious riders who may be looking for a cheap pair training bibs.
Report this reviewGreat but not so great
2Top marks for the fabric, stretch, chamois and quality is stitching is poor. Don't expect this from Santini.
Report this reviewNice but very small fitting
4I ordered a XL, I am 6', 190lbs and the XL are very tight. I will be able to wear them but they are a very small make. But sure to buy at least 1 size up from your regular sizing.

2Santini does run smaller than most cycling wear. I'm from the U.S and I'm 6'4" 180lbs and I ordered an XL. The fit was very snug over the shoulder which was okay with me but the stitching and the thigh openings were very tight. I will definitely be returning this item as I don't like the fit, stitching, or the lack of tacky thigh holders in the bib shorts.
