Soft travel case

I have a Scicon hardcase, and it is excellent - but my new bike has aero handlebars with all internal cabling (brakes and Di2) and the way the cables route through the steering stem means you cannot rotate the handlebars around to the extent required to fit it into the hard case. It is also a major operation to disconnect all the cables to be able to remove the bars. This will become a more widespread issue for people as the new premium bikes all migrate to integrated cabling. The soft case however, allows you to retain the handlebars in position, as well as the peddles and seat with stem. In fact, with only taking the wheels off, this is soooo easy to pack the bike and unpack ready for use. Absolutely no tools required! I test packed it today, ready for a trip to New Zealand in a few weeks. I was ecstatic at how quick and easy it was to pack - much easier than the hard case. The flip side of course is I don't expect it to take airline abuse very well, so here's hoping Air NZ baggage handlers are nice to me and my S-Works Venge Vias!

Terrific

I was pleased with the quick postage/delivery to Australia and the way this item was packaged. Good value for money purchase at Probikekit pricing too. Thanks!

Scicon Aerocomfort

This bag is amazing. Less than 10 minutes to have your bike packed & secured, and without the need to remove anything. Leave handlebars in place, saddle at its height, and leave the pedals on. The bike sits onto a frame for support, and there's a bracket to cover & protect the rear mech too. Wheels go into their own pockets on the sides, and you're ready to go.

Almost love it...

Just bought it and already used it for a recent trip. When it arrived, it unfortunately had a spot where they missed the sewing on the zipper right where the handlebars are located. I am going to have to manually have someone sew that to make it secure. Also the rear derailleur needs more protection where the spring loaded sprockets flip up against the bag.

Bike Travel Bag

Having read lots of different reviews, on all kinds of bike box/bags, found this Scicon Aerocomfort for great price, not thought needed. I have friends that have hard box's and dismantle their bikes to travel, and weight a lot. Just put your bike on the internal frame, wheels in side pockets zip up and go. You get extras in the bag also Bonus

Good Quality but tight fit

4

I have not yet travelled with this case but upon first bike fitting it was very tight. I have a 61cm frame and had to undo the stem and rotate the bars before I could even get close to fitting. There is considerable strain on the zippers when closing them up. It will be interesting to see how it travels. Overall, it's well constructed and looks to be of high quality. I'm happy with it so far. For novelty sized bikes it might be a better fit. :)

Outstanding Travel Case

The Scicon Aerocomfort bag is a very well designed bicycle travel case. It literally takes less than 10 minutes to pack the bike, and the internal metal frame and straps hold the frame securely. This bag accommodated my 58cm carbon fiber road bike easily. Even the airline personal commented on how nice this bag is to handle!

Great travel bag

4

I think this is a great travel case and much easier than the ones that require disassembly of the bike. My bike came through with no major issues - really no issues on the way out, but my derailleur was a little messed up when I reassembled the bike upon my return. I think I should have shifted the derailleur to the lowest gear in order to move it in as close to the frame as possible. Also, the case can use some handles for when the straps are put away for checking the bag in. I had visions of the baggage handlers struggling to lift the bag onto the cargo bay. Overall a great case, but you live and learn on these things and with the minor derailleur adjustment I think it will work find for the next trip. Jamie

Scicon AeroComfort 2.0 TSA Bicycle Travel Case

Excellent product due to ease of packing bike in case, weight of empty case thus allowing inclusion of biking tools and accessories, ease or wheeling around and carrying, and peace or mind that our bicycle is well protected and easily verifiable by custom officiers.

Great product at an extremely competitive price. In my opinion, better than the EVOC, (which I also have)
