Great training tire
4I use this tire for training and it is great. My one issue was that the tire got cut up quite easily, not in a major way, but it barely ever flatted which was impressive. The wear indicators are great for knowing when the tire needs replacing and the nit of tread makes the tire a bit more user friendly. Would highly recommend this tire as I'm on my second set and they have always been reliable!

5My long time 'go to' tires have been Vittoria Rubino Pro Slicks. They are good all arounders. The GP 4000S are lighter, faster, more supple and grip the road better. They are superior to anything I've used. The price for a two pack could not be beat which was the cherry on an already tasty cake.

5I have been using these tires for many years (8000 miles per year). I find they ride better the tires I have used in the past and they are very durable and resistant to flats.

5The only tyres I've rolled with for the last 4 years, these are a cut above the rest. Great longevity, road holding power in wet or dry, puncture protection, pay the extra and give yourself peace of mind. They won't disappoint.

great tire but....
4I love these tires, but I've had numerous sidewall failures. I would guess that I've used about 15 of these tires (maybe more) and about 1 out of 5 have detrimental sidewall blowout failures. Like other people, I'll buy enough to last me a few years when they go on sale and the currency exchange rate is favorable and they tend to last quite a while. When they fail though, it's within 25 - 50 miles of being installed. I'm not sure if the 4000s II's address this issue and I'll be curious to see how they fair. Yes, I've checked the rims for nicks, etc. and there's nothing wrong with the rims, install, etc.
