These are a clear material, and are certainly the right size. I have done the job of reducing noise on an external cable when dropping down from the large chain ring. They are designed to be threaded on when the cable is installed. I added them after by cutting and adding a little silicone glue to close the cut.

These gizmos are just one of those things that you never give a thought to and then wonder how you ever did without them. My bike is hand built "Columbus" and the O rings offer great protection to the paint job.

Chose another brand!

Bad product. Fitted these to my bike and within less than a year they have turned white from clear and become so brittle that they scratch my frame rather than protect it and a couple have fallen off.
