Great space and enough room to pack clothes in with bike. Sturdy case, protected the bike during travell, light and good shape to handle. Very pleased with the purchase.

Great service

I ordered this as it is a hard shell case but light. Spent some time researching this and as I travel a great deal once stuff up with a soft case is all that is needed, whereas these are pretty tough and pliable. Certainly not that easy to lug around but bike protection was my priority.

Bike pod and PBK

Used pod for overseas trip, bike arrived and returned home undamaged. Very mobile and light. Bike, case and all my triathlon gear fit and still came in under 40 lbs! However the pod case itself did not fare as well. Both top straps punched through the case leaving the bike unsuspended, but crank was undamaged due to extra foam strapped to crank. The major damage was a defective zipper that ripped between the teeth and the fabric making the pod unusable for future use. After several emails to both Polaris and PBK the issue was resolved and a replacement case was sent at no cost. It's nice to see both companies stand by their product and make good on their warranties. I look forward to many more trips with this case.

Polaris Bike Pod

Product seems large enough to fit road bikes of any sizes. Mine is a 54 and there still is plenty of room to pack more stuff. Product is also light, simple to use and seems solid enough for plane traveling. Main drawback is that there is no fixed support on which to attach the bike, but the many straps are probably sufficient. Overall a very satisfying product for the price.

low weight for the large amount of protection

Excellent build quality, with low weight for the large amount of protection.The Polaris EVA Bike Pod looks similar to offerings from Bike Box and Scicon. Where it differs is in the use of EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) material for the shell. This has a semi-rigid structure and offers the same amount of protection as a hard case but with less weight. At 8kg it’s more than 3kg lighter than the competition.The case closes with a full heavy-duty zip. This is backed up with additional quick-release buckles. Fitting in our bike did require dismantling, but we like that Polaris have included two heavy-duty skewers to fit your wheels to the integral ports on the pod’s side. The quality is top-notch, with all the fittings being metal and riveted into place. For a road bike this offers the best balance of protection and weight around.
