Powerful and Easy to use

5

Easy to use on/off switch, even with gloves. And you go straight to your last programme. So powerful that I can use on windy MTB tracks, out on dark country roads with no headlights, or I dip it out of motorists eyes in the city.

A bit bigger than I expected but sure is super bright and long lasting battery power.

Lezyne superdrive light

4

Its a great light for mountain biking and its even better that you don't need a separate battery pack which is a hassle when trying to attach to the bike. The light is super bright as it suggests and I have been using on the full burn setting and it runs for over an hour which is a normal weeknight ride for me, so perfect Just a pity you don't get the nice storage box as pictured under the item, all you get is the light in a cardboard box.

So good, but really so bad.

2

I regret buying this as a replacement for an older model Lezyne 'Superdrive' light that I liked a lot. The good is really good, but the BAD is REALLY BAD. GOOD: It is a seriously powerful light when switched to overdrive. Kudos to LEZYNE - it is a good light pattern, good side view, etc. No faults here. BAD: REALLY BAD that the micro-USB charging socket is set 13 mm deep into the end of the device! That's more than half an inch for you guys over the Atlantic. It is impossible to see the plug as it enters the charge socket. You are left pushing on the tail end of the plug and hoping you hit the charging hole 'somewhere down there'. My standard micro-USB charger plugs don't fit down this narrow hole. And because it is so deep and dark, you can't quite see which way up to put the plug, so you try one way- doesn't work, try the other way, can't tell because you can't feel it, so try the other way again... and so on. There is no 'lead-in' to guide the plug insertion. It is a serious fail. ANOTHER BIG BAD: It has a surprisingly short run time, even when not on full bore. I get about 60 to 70% of the 'optimistic' run-times given on the instruction sheet and website. That's bad enough, but what really bugs me is that the body shape and the weight imply that it has two 18650 Lithium Ion cells in it (The old model was cylindrical with one 18650 cell). Judging by the run life that I experience, it has nowhere near that capacity. The website won't tell you. Did I say it was heavy? The mounting clip has been improved from the previous model- handy that it's backwards compatible too.

Perfect all in one headlight for rural roads

5

I ride rural roads with no ambient lighting and this light is more than capable of allowing me to ride at 30km/h+. Giid dpread of usuable light. Race mode which switches between high and low output is handy. Fits to bar with a mount that hand tightens with no tools - I leave the mount on the bike when not using the light. Happy with my choice.
