Perfect back pack
5This back pack is designed to be lightweight and breathable across your back and shoulders. I had tried a few back packs until I got this one, mostly hiking types or surf brands. The Deuter is not only fully featured including a fluoro rain cover, a helmet carrier (if you should need it) but can also take a 13inch laptop and change of clothes. All this whilst sitting off your back with the mesh and flexible adjustments. It has bladder capability if you want to add. The pockets are fine for carrying wallet, phone and small items. Not much to complain about at all, except the plastic key clip, a better attachment would make this the perfect 10.

5Bag is really good tho I'd ordered the 2012 model which I would've preferred... probike were really good about it and gave me a small discount as a gesture of goodwill... great company to deal with I'd recommend without hesitation

5Fantastic light weight backpack for cycling. Airflow back system keeps the pack off your back allowing the air to circulate and more breathable therefore more comfortable to the rider.

Best pack ever
5I am 176cm, 65kg and have used this pack daily for 14 months to carry my clothes when I run to and from my workplace (60 - 100km of running use / week). (I am small but..) the shoulder straps are perfect width for me. The waist belt IS too high by 5cm for me, so I don't have it as tight as I would like, but that is a minor inconvenience. While intended as a hydration bladder pack, it simply does not bounce when I run to work and that alone makes it 10x better than any other pack I have tried for being a clothes-horse... I cannot say enough good things about this pack.

Try b4 buying
1Received this for Xmas 2012. Used it for a couple of weeks for commuting to and from work. The back torsion bar and minimal adjustments options has caused me both neck and back problems. After two visits to the chiro I have stopped using the pack. Features on the pack are great, size is what I need, but if it is not comfortable it's not worth it.

Need to physically try bag
1Received this bag for Xmas. Found it very difficult to adjust the angle on the waist support. Found the end points dug into my kidney area. Also found the straps near the neck to narrow and put undue pressure on my neck/shoulder area resulting in a sore neck after my commute. The bag itself is a good size wih lots of features and it was a pity that I could not try it on prior to purchase. 14/1/2013

Perfect bike bag!

Excellent for commuting.
Dont hesitate if you think this bag is for you. Air mesh backing keeps your back nice and breezy, helmet cover comes in handy, expandable pocket is perfect for varying loads to/from work. And the rain cover works great when bucketing down, and is highly visible.
A great product, even though its a tab bit pricey.

The Deuter Race Exp Air does everything, and a little more besides, that you need for commuting and other occasions when you need a well appointed and lightweight pack. It’s well designed, its features are well considered and it’s holding up well after much rigorous use in all conditions. 9/10
