This order was for my 4th set of Pirelli Cinturato 700-26 tubeless tires. The first two sets lasted well over 6000 miles each. Based on wear, the 3rd set was on its way to similar mileage until I ran thru a lot of broken glass. The sealant worked fine. But I was uncomfortable with so many cuts. Hence this order. I continue to be amazed at the ruggedness of these tires; I have hit gravel, potholes, etc that would’ve flatted my prior treads. However, they are smooth riding and grippy in the wet.

The invincible, one of the best tires I have used to date

I am using the Cinturato about 2 years now and it always performed. No issues at all with fitting the tyre on my DT Swiss rims and I used it frequent on international travel on and off multible times no worries, using an "Air Shot" for initial inflate and setting the tyre, fill the sealant (Mariposo Effetto Caffe Latex) in with a syringe and blunt needle, valve in and spin the wheel and pump it up with a track pump, wipe off the excess sealant, done. Important is to clean the rim and tyre every time it comes off the rim. It is reasonably fast and extremely rugged for a road tyre, the first tyre lasting over 5000km on my rear wheel over coarse gravel through roadworks, glass littered streets and rough roads, it gets some cuts and it is visible the sealant does its duty, touch wood I never had a puncture or cut to be repaired or fixed, I had a cut from a sharp stone from the edge of the rim over the centre of the tyre about 30mm long, it didn't go through and it lasted another 2500km till the tyre was worn. The grip is outstanding and easily outperforms the Conti in all conditions and I live and bike in a coastal area, cornering in the wet is like on rails. I use the 26mm wide tyre inflated with 80PSI in try and around 70PSI in wet conditions, my weight is 78kg.

Bit of a struggle sealing

3

Great tyre, easy to fit and sealed initially with a track pump. After using the sealant pressure was lost several times over the next two days. Even now after four weeks they don't hold pressure as I would expect. When pumped up, the ride quality is very good and clings to the road both wet and dry. If it wasn't for the sealing problem they would get near to five stars.

Great tyre but struggle to seal.

Easy to fit and popped onto my Mavic rims with a track pump. Seemed to seal well and held air at first but went flat after a few hours. Pumped up five or six times before it sealed. Previous Continental 5000 was no problem but a pig to fit. Rides well with great grip.

Brilliant tyres, easy to set up!

I bought these based on the reviews on this site and others. Key things I was looking for was tubeless easy tyres, durability and hard wearing. First of all I have to comment on how easy these were to bead in comparison to the standard tubeless tyre. I have ridden Mavic Yskion Pro UTS in the past and they are nightmare to install and remove. I went with these 32mm tyres for my winter wheel set, they are incredibly grippy and the added width contributes to the comfort greatly. Really happy with them so far.

Pirelli Cinturato tubeless

I've been riding these Cinturato on Mavic UST rims for months without a problem. They replaced the worn Mavic Ksyrium that came with my rims. Installation was smooth and the tyre popped in place with the simple use of a CO2 cartridge. I ride them on canadian rural roads and even on gravel roads without a concern. My trick is to install sealant in tow phases: first, after the installation to assure a proper distribution while keeping the pressure at 80psi and the a second top up before my first ride as recommended by mavic in this case. Smooth ride and good grip. Definitely I will recommend these.

Caution, tire exploded off rim.

Got these at my local shop. Ran with it for two weeks on the front tire. I noticed little damp spots indicating the sealant was seeping through tire. I've used Bontrager for 3 years on these Ultegra rims without issue. I'm now using Continental 5000's without issue on the same rims. Rims are designed for tubeless and have over 15,000 K all with tubeless tires. Only one puncture that sealed itself in all those K's. The Pirelli tubeless exploded with a loud bang and came off the rim instantly. Avoid these! Stay safe.
