Good tire
4This tire seems to be the biggest bang for my buck. The only reason I won’t give 5 stars is that the bead is tight and difficult to get over the rim. A bead Jack is the way to go, and I carry one with me on my rides. I Velcro strap it to my aero bar, as it’s too long to fit in my bag. If I get a flat in cold weather, trying to get that bead over the rim with cold hands is a very difficult task.

4Love these tires but there is a trick to installing them that I have learned over the years..when removing them from the rim start at the valve stem.. when adding them to your rim start opposite the valve and finish at stem. Makes it much easier to install and remove because they can be tight.

5Thanks PBK for the ultra fast S&H to Massachusetts USA CONTI 5000 clincher tires I have properly installed these tires in two different wheelsets without any problems, punctured tubes nor broken tools. Roval CLX 32 and Campagnolo Bora One 35 wheels These tires roll well and after over a thousand miles on them they still look like new and without any blemishes. Will buy them again.

4Great tyres rolling resistance grip good but really difficult to puts on the rim -felt like fitting a really tight tubeless-punctured 3 inner tubes in the process broke 2 tyre levers -when eventually fitted worth the effort.
Report this reviewTightest. Bead. Ever.
1These tyres are quite frankly the most difficult I have ever tried to fit. Th bead is ridic. I'll either be sending them back for something else or sticking them in the bin at this rate.
Report this reviewExcellent Grip
5Have used Conti 4000 GP for years and wasn't sure about change. However, nothing to be worried about the 5000 have reassuring build quality and having now raced several times on them they perform well. Good grip, can take a lot of lean into a bend. Hopefully they will also wear well
Report this reviewExcellent racing and everyday tyres
5I have used a pair of GP5000 for two-years. this is my third tyre in the GP5000 series and I can vouch for the quality and reliability and peace of mind for this item. I've used these tyres in; storm, snow, grit, summer, rain and dry land. performs absolutely flawlessly. very comfortable, smooth ride with these tyres. almost like you're floating. very good puncture resistance too. I've had a little over a hand full of punctures. most of them were slow punctures, so the tyres fought well against them. other times just got unlucky. very grippy and great around corners. these are my go tyres. if you are unsure what tyres to buy go for these. I will he trying out the pirelli p zero. but I want atleast one of these in case the pirelli doesn't suit my needs. highly recommended. buy with confidence

13 flats in two weeks. I don’t ride to fix flats. I ride for fitness. These tires have paper thin sidewalks and not much more rubber than aloe end tire. Don’t waste your money - like I did.

1Been riding on Continental GP 4000 S II for many years so when they introduced the GP5000 I thought why not, they must have improved the GP 4000 S II. Big mistake. Bought a Twin Pack and after 1 200 km I punctured twice with the outer rubber separating from the inner portion of the tire and was stuck on the road each time. I blame that on bad luck so I ordered a second Twin Pack and had another puncture. These tires are not made to handle road hazards, period. So I will try to purchase only GP 4000 S II from now on.
