Brilliant
4One of the best products going around. Faultless training tyre. Vectran in tread and sidewall makes them almost impossible to destroy. Rubber compound last well and even tolerates ergo trainer chewing them up and bead is not so tight that you spend all day trying to get them on larger rims

Stronger the wheel

I had the gatorskins for 2 years now and I've been through potholes and cracks galore.
But the kicker is that I was in a car crash and smashed my front wheel. The gatorskin stood out like a champ and I still use it on a new front wheel!
Still just as effective!

Great Tire

Been riding these since I got my bike. They're great on city streets and the price isn't too steep.
The 25's are a great mix of comfort and flat protection.

Great price, great quality

Here in Canada prices on everything bike-related are far too high. PBK's prices are great for things like tires, tubes, and other accessories, even groupsets.
I bought these tires in 25mm for commuting use, and they have performed incredibly well on busy streets, rough roads, and through shards of glass. The tread wears very well (4000km so far and nothing concerning) and the sidewalls are tough. Theyre so tough, in fact, that the ride is a bit harsh compared to more supple tires like the GP4000S due to the sidewall stiffness. Minor problem though.
The fact that its made in Germany as opposed to other manufacturing countries with suspect quality control is even more reason to get these.

2 flats in 3 years of riding with Conti Gatorskins
5I'm sure I'm going to jinx myself by boasting that I've only had two flats in 3 seasons of riding on these tires, but its the truth. The majority of my rides are on chip-seal roads and the 25mm tires allow me to run a slightly lower pressure for a more comfortable ride and the durability of the tires has kept me on the bike peddling as opposed to on the side of the road pumping. PBK has the best prices on these tires anywhere that I've seen - I'll continue to purchase them for as long as they are available here.

Excellent Training Tire
5The Continental Gatorskin is bar far the most durable tire for the price. I have had only two punctures over the past two seasons using these tires (multiple sets). They have survived glass, thorns, metal and rocks that other tires would have failed going over. The best thing about these tires is that the sidewalls are durable.

Great all around tire!
5I buy one pair of these a year and they easily accrue the most miles on both my cx/commuter and my road bike. I get at least 3000 miles per season on them and I have had only one flat (pinch from a huge pothole). Very durable, smooth-rolling, and very comfortable to ride on. I should note that I have only used the 700x25 size.

Great high mileage tire!
5I have used this tire for three seasons. The set I used two seasons ago lasted 5,000 miles. I replaced that set the first time I got a flat. The current set has around 3,500 miles with no flats. I recently raced over cinders with no flats. About once a month I dig the glass shards out of the tire. This tire picks up glass but refuses to let the the shards through. Not the fastest rolling tires but if you value security at high speed this tire is for you!

Excellent tyres - long lasting, strong and low rolling resistance

Love my Gatorskins - just recently installed the new pair of 700x25's I purchased here at PBK for my classic Bianchi.
These are the folding tyres, a bit more expensive than the wire-rim ones but pack small, are easy to ship and carry as a spare on a long tour.
These tyres are very popular here, our cycling club members use them in many bikes. Their puncture resistance, long life and build quality, plus the Continental reputation, make them favourites.
My old 700x23 pair is still in use, just moved to another bike that's not used as often, and will have another couple thousand kilometres life left for sure.
Great tyres, handmade in Germany.
