So simple, so fast to use and it Just Works. No messing around adjusting a clicky thing and no calibration required. Highly recommend.

Excellent tool for what I needed it for

Sturdy and gives a good approximation of torque.

When adjusting the torque on my stems and seatpost collar I tend to use this torque wrench. It's cheap compared to the clicker type and relatively easy to use. The construction of this is also pretty solid so I don't have to worry about it too much if I drop it. The calibration on this is also pretty easy. Just calibrate the pin to 0 and you're good to go. Just watch out for parallax error.

Since the reading arrow can be a bit jumpy all tightening should be slow and controlled to get the best reading.

The range on this is from 0 to 60 in/lbs (0-7Nm) it is perfect for making minor adjustments to the saddle or changing out the stem.

Bit simplistic

Really is only indicative...and remembering most torque settings are set on ungreased bolts (and all bolts should be greased given the elements they may face)...these are kind of redundant. Learn how to gauge torque by hand or get your bike shop to do it for you...cannot see merit in the outlay on this tool

When everyone needs a torque wrench, this is one everyone can afford

The are two variants of torque wrench available today. The clicker-type, on which you set the desired max torque & the wrench "clicks" when you reach that force. The other is the flexion beam, which twists as you tighten a bolt giving you a reading of torque. Of the two, the former, the "clicker," is the more reliable/fool-proof. The latter is typically a fraction of the cost of the former. The TW-1 is the latter type.

Nevertheless, it is still effective & will measure enough torque to wrench everything (road) except pedals, BBs & the derailleur hanger bolt. You will notice that as your cranking down on a bolt, the needle will tend to hop, skip & jump across the dial. This leaves all of the bolts in the neighbourhood of spec, but not necessarily at spec. For this reason, I tend to err on the side of caution & tighten bolts to the neighbourhood of just below spec.

The wrench doesn't come with a bit set, however the drive head will accept a standard 1/4-inch ratchet head which will fit the driver bits that come with most multi-use screw-drivers.

Inaccurate as it may be, it is still infinitely more accurate than tightening to "feel" without any torque wrench. With components increasingly sensitive to torque, everyone who touches a bolt on their bike needs a torque wrench & this is a torque wrench that everyone can afford.
