Comfy

This is the most comfortable saddle I have ever had. I have been through 54 saddles in the past 20 years. A bit heavy, or I wild have given it a 5.

Comfortable saddle

I have had one of these for a thousand miles or more now and find it very good for my perenium, I chose this after a prostate scare and unlike most saddles available it does not bruise my pipework so I will be buying another one for my new road bike. The pressure is on your sit bones, forward and outward. For reference my sitbones are 108mm but this saddle will cope with wider sitbones I am sure. I found the best seat position for me is 5mm down at the front. I tried saddles with narower gaps in the middle but you have to sit too accurately to get any benefit.

The seat of happiness

The Giant TCR2 came with the Fizik Arione which is not a bad piece of gear. But it didn't suite my anatomy and the steep sides and high ridge caused me nothing but discomfort. Having ridden Selle for the past 24 years it was time to return to my roots. After some research I discovered it's horses for courses. There is no right or wrong saddle, just saddles that best suite your anatomy. And Selle seems to be my match. Initially thought the Max SLR was a bit hard but once out on the road it was pure bliss. I'm not going to tell you to ditch your current saddle in favor of a Selle but I am going to say that if your saddle is giving you even the smallest amount of grief, do something about it. Research and act.
