5Standard tube, never had an issue with Conti. Good value for money, and love that you can get valve stems long enough not to need extenders for my 50mm wheels.

5These race tubes are lighter than the standard ones, but the big difference is that the valve core doesn't screw out. This is really important when you have a screw-on roadside pump, as otherwise it'll pull out your core and leave you stranded. Always carry one of these as my spare tube.

3Similarly to one of the reviews here, I've also had a puncture in my recently purchased 5000 Continental tyres...I had my 4000 ones going for four years with one puncture in all that time.

2I've purchased a few of these in the past and have noticed that the quality control for the valves is highly variable. For my recent order, one of the two I obtained was partially defective.

5Firstly, thank you for my recent purchase of my long legged winter bike pants, I'm more that happy with them, and so nice to warm in these cold winter mornings we are having in country Victoria Australia when riding. I'd also like to mention, that I have 3 bike friends that have recently purchased the Continental 5000 road bike tyres. And the passed 2 weeks of riding, all 3 have punchers, where the tyres has been severely cut,which require the tyre's to be patched from the inside. We hadn't seen this issue when using the Continental 4000 tyres. Just giving you a heads up. King Regards
