Brilliant Brakes
5Replaced the factory standard Shimano brakes for these when the pads wore down, and they are fully worth the extra price (although still quite a cheap component, and once you've purchased the full brake the pads are fairly cheap anyway). Once fitted (which was very easy) I took to the road for quick 50km. I was very impressed with the control and stopping power. I had total confidence under heavy braking, even in damp/wet conditions. Hard rear wheel braking didn't cause any sort of slide, which had been an issue on the Shimano ones. Overall I've got nothing negative to say, and anyone wanting to replace brake pads should definitely go SwissStop. They're used by the pros and for good reason!

Worth it
5First of all I am a little disappointed because I ordered 2 sets of these for front and back but due to stock and supply issues I only have 1 set. I was going to wait for the second set but in the end put them on the front as I entered a sportive with hills. I took them for test ride on the flat beforehand and was impressed from the outset so decided no need to worry about bedding in too much. Well once on the descent coming off 61kmph (would have gone faster but ran out of road with a junction ahead) these proved fantastic, my stock factory pads were put to shame. Great short stopping distance as the Swisstop website states. I was considering getting some new calipers to upgrade from the generic Shimano copies that came with the Cannondale but no need with these. Definitely worth the price and I hear they perform well in the wet so prepared. Just need my other set please Probike.. although I have looked around and it looks like these exact BXP blocks are few and far between.

5Excellent brake blocks. They are an instant improvement on the original shimano ultegra brakes blocks. Good modulation and easy to fit. Not been fitted long so can't comment on life of block.
