This year, we celebrate the Tour de France during its 104th edition! The peloton will return to Germany for the Grand Depart after Berlin hosted the first stage 30 years ago in 1987. Düsseldorf kicks off the Tour this year for a 13km sprint stage for road cycling’s strongest to begin the battle over 21 stages, a total of 3,540km, to be awarded as the ultimate wearer of the Yellow Jersey
There will be plenty of action throughout the 23 days of the Tour, with sprints, climbs, and head-to-head battles between 18 WorldTour teams and several wildcard teams with just 2 rest days to recover and strategize before heading out into the peloton again. There will also be a number of Leader’s Jerseys up for grabs in each stage before overall winners are determined after the final showdown at the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
