The Deda WD30CTU Carbon Tubular 30mm Wheelset is weight in its lightest form. This wheelset is engineered for pure performance, where weight and acceleration are concepts of life or death.
The Deda Reverse Inertia system cuts 37.1g from the outermost part of the wheels, the rims, which most affect the moment of inertia. It features a carbon fibre 30mm deep profile rim, stainless-steel elliptical spokes, compact hub with double sealed radial ball bearings.

I have not ridden these yet as they just came in today. That being said, some issues are already apparent. First, no brake pads in the box. No big deal as I use the same pads on all of my wheels but they're supposed to be there. Second, my pair was 150 grams heavier than Deda claims. I know each set is going to be different but 150 grams is more than normal. This weight is without the QRs, cement, etc. Lastly, these are the least true wheels I have ever received. One expects a wheel to be a bit off but mine were TERRIBLE! Truing the drive side rear wheel with a park tools wrench is an exercise in patience with the nipple being at the hub. So, why three stars? I purchased these on sale with a coupon. That brought the cost down to below most aluminum wheels. Also, this isn't my first set of Deda wheels and I know what to expect after all of the kinks are ironed out. One last bit of info, the rim width on all of the Deda WD series wheels is very narrow (around 21mm). They aren't aero but it seems to be where the weight savings come from. It's not as bad with tubs but clincher tires can be a bit difficult to seat.

These are fast and light! Made to go! You can easily use for Racing wheels or Training. I prefer tubular wheels even for training. But if you have a set or carbon race wheels this set could be you trainers and you wont need to swap your brake pads out. And not many of them out there so if you want to be unique. These will get you there. Love them!
