The features of the Zonda wheel have been enhanced even further with a C17 rim that is compatible with more comfortable clincher tyres. It's also 10g lighter than the previous version.
Zonda is one of Campagnolo's best-selling aluminium wheels. It's packed with technological innovations that make it a highly sophisticated solution compared to what other brands offer for the same price.
A smaller hub diameter combined with the differentiated rim height (24/27mm) and the new self-locking nipples offer a front wheel that's smooth to steer and bump-resistant: racing on this model is a safe bet.
All Campagnolo's technology has gone into these wheels

Just got these and it is the end of the season so only have about 4-5 rides on them for 125-150 miles. But so far, I love them. First setting them up was a breeze and they present themselves as high quality. They are much lighter than the stock wheels my Specialized Roubaix came with. They ride well, are quick and responsive and seem stiff but not uncomfortable. I am a fairly large rider at 6'1" and 195#. So far I think these have been a great upgrade for the budget conscious me.
I used Zipp 404 before using this one. To tell the truth, I think Zonda is not so much worse than Zipp. I love this wheelset. It’s for all rounders and you can have advantage in uphill. I recommend this to anyone who want ride seriously.
I recently purchased a set of Campy c17s for my wife's Giant Defy. She was running the stock wheels from Giant. The new increased width of the rims allowed for a nice profile on Schwalbe One 28mm tires. This has been a huge improvement for her over the 23mm tires she had previously on her narrow Giant rims. The Campys roll beautifully and quietly. They accelerate much better as well as freewheel effortlessly. They are a fantastic upgrade in every respect. Also, we got a great price from Pro Bike Kit and will be returning customers. Highly recommended.
I have some Zonda wheels from 2002, with thousands of miles on them; AND they are durable, and for me, ride quite well. Considering the updates Campy has made on their wheels AND the fact that I paid a couple hundred dollars less (for an improved wheelset!) 15 years later; very much means, that I am very pleased with my experience with this product AND my dealing with ProBikeKit!! Yes, from time to time, I have purchased from PBK for the last 14 years.
These wheels are fast, very light, stiff and a joy to ride. They also appear bulletproof. I run 25 tires, inflated to 85, I weigh 170, and the ride is comparable to tubeless. The rim profile fits the 25's perfectly. My prior rims were near impossible to change tires on, they had a fairly deep and wide profile, and like most other rims that are tubeless compatible they were impossible for me to work with. The Campy wheels are the easiest to change tires on of any wheel I have ever owned, I never have to use tire irons, I never have to struggle. Get these wheels, they are amazing.
I recently purchased the new Campy Zonda C17's In my opinion they are a great value for a great set of clinchers. They came in right at 1532 grams on my scales which is quite respectable. They are the new breed of wider inside width rims which allows you to run wider tires. These at 17mm I am running 700x25 Conti GP4000S II's & have to say these are very comfortable even on my aluminum frame. I was quite shocked on my first ride expecting a slightly harsh ride given the spoke pattern but I was very wrong. These wheels are stiff yes which is great but also very comfortable The quality is classic Campagnolo with excellent attention to details. The freehub on this one is quite quiet also which I like. The spoke tension was as perfect as any wheel I have had. I have been riding for over 30 years so I have owned a few other Campy wheels as well as DT Swiss, Mavic etc. & some custom builds. Given the exceptional price ProBikeKit is offering on these I would advise anyone looking for a great all around set of clinchers to grab a set. I would also like to say how very happy I was with ProBikeKit. I am very happy to have found them & just completed my next order for a crankset from them. They have great prices & great follow through on your order. Keeping you posted as to shipping, tracking etc. It is nice to find a bicycle shop that is passionate about teh business if cycling & it shows in all they do. I am happy to have found them & only wish I knew sooner. Thank You PBK
I already had the "old" Campy Zonda wheelset (also purchased from PBK), and frankly, I was very pleased with them. I put about 4000 miles on the old Zondas and they are still perfectly true and reliable (and at 102kg, I am not a light rider). But as I am getting up in years (55+), I wanted a bit of a break for my backside, and I wanted to run a slightly wider tire than 23c. The new C17 Zonda is more optimized for wider tires (the instructions even say that you can run up to 30+cm tires). The wider tires allow you to run lower pressures (hence a cushier ride). In practice, I will say that I can feel a slight difference, but not that much (maybe 5-10% more cushy?). That said, these wheels feel just as solid as the old Zondas, are just as true out of the box, brake just as well, and transmit all the power you can muster without flexing. For the reliability and performance, these are the best priced wheels on the market. The new all black look is very understated. These are not flashy wheels at all, but I am confident that they will get the job done, day in and day out for many years to come.
