Designed with the latest iteration of Continental’s legendary Black Chili rubber compound, the Continental Grand Prix 5000 boasts a 10-gram weight reduction in a 25c width, a 12% reduction in rolling resistance and a 20% increase in durability compared with its predecessor. Thanks to the proprietary Laser Grip Technology which creates a micro tread pattern that expands over the shoulder of the tire, the GP5000 also offers increased all-weather grip, giving you the ability to take even the most technical corners at speed.
Continental believes a comfortable tire is a fast tire – which is why the GP5000 now comes in a 32c width and is constructed with Active Comfort Technology to help smooth the sharpest shocks from the roughest roads. Lined with the tear-resistant but ultra-lightweight Vectran fibers, the GP5000 sets new standards for puncture protection in road race tires. So, whether you’re training in the sunshine or racing in a downpour, you’ll have complete confidence that your tire out-performs the competition in every category and in all possible conditions.

I've recently started using Continental's GP5000 tyres after many years on GP4000s. I loved the 4000s but so far the 5000s feel even better. They are noticeably softer than their predecessors and the ride definitely feels smoother and more grippy. Hard to tell if it's any faster but it's definitely more comfortable. And not sure yet about improved puncture resistance - no punctures so far but time will tell.
These tires hold up well. They handle the road debris quite well. Plus they are fast!
have always used continental tyres I thought the GP 4000 2 were great but these new GP5000 are awesome
Great set of tires at awesome sale price!
The best And the latest available tyres in the market for the cheapest price compare to every where else ( in stores and online) . Thanks Probikekit for keeping us rolling and riding.
Just bought and replaced the 4k sII 25 tires with the 5ks. Definitely has stiffer and most likely more durable sidewall, a weak point with the 4k versions. The profile is much narrower and air volume is decreased resulting in higher pressures needed. Laid out flat and measured across edge to edge is around 6 millimeters less. Inflated tires mounted on my Aelous carbon rims measure 3 mm less width than the 4ks. Less tire carcass mass is less weight thus the 10 gram drop. I guess I will try the 28s next to get a better ride and possibly a better aero profile and rolling resistance. The jury is still out on it for now.
Good tires, great grip, beautiful design. Good handling in dry/wet surfaces
I recently purchased these after years on Vitoria Rubinho Pros. They are a supple yet durable tyre that handles extremely well. I fee more confident cornering as they seem to grip really well. They have excellent rolling properties and the 25mm size seems to provide a little more forgiveness on rougher roads than the 23mm tyres I used to run. I will be staying these Continental GP5000 tyres.
Look like a good tyre. Shipping kinda slow...take 1 month for Canada.
My first set of 5000’s have done 1100 miles, at this stage they have performed well with no flats. They seems to perform better than the 4000’s that I used for several years. The rear tire has several cuts but is otherwise holding up well. The ride is comfortable with 100 PSI rear and 90 PSI front.
