Top Customer Reviews

The Garmin 1030 plus has a major defect. The elevation gain and slope percentage is about 100 to 150 meter off. For exemple if you are climbing a 100 meter long hill at 10%, starting from a flat road it will indicate 0% for the entire hill. The total elevation gain for a full trip is OK, but is false by about 100 meters for each event. So, the altimeter or the software is too slow. I did not have problem on my previous Garmin Edge 800. According to Garmin blog they are all like that, possibly a software problem. The rest of the computer is very good and the screen has a very good definition. For my application it is useless. If, Garmin is not able to solve the problem I will ask a reimbursement and look for something else. Best Regards,
