These mudguards have a reputation for keeping you and everyone around you dry and clean. Crud Road Racer Mk2 Mudguards have been updated and re-engineered to bring them into the modern day. New features include a wide lip on the rear mudguard, which not only prevents mud and muck from flicking up and onto you, but can also protect you from debris and small stones. A pair of Crud Road Racer Mk2 mudguards can be an indispensable tool for your daily commute and those tough winter rides. - T.H

I really want these to work well and they do for the most part. I have WSD Trek Madone 4.5 size 52 so the seattube is shorter than mens bikes. The fender piece that fits behind the seattube and under the brake is to long. I had to trim about 2 inches from it, drill a hole, then attach. However, because it's trimmed, and I just sawed it straight across, it doesn't fit snug with the attaching screw to the next portion of the fender, even with the zip tie to the seattube. When riding, this piece shifts, then rubs on the tire. I've removed this portion and ridden along fine, but miss the advantage of not having dirt and spray hit the seattube. So, there you have it. Since there are options for the tail piece, an option for this portion of the back fender would be nice for a shorter bike.
This set comes with multiple end pieces to tailor the front and rear fenders to your liking. It also comes with all the other pieces you will need to make them work. One small issue, which would be common on any universal set of fenders, is tire clearance. These mount under the brakes and are zip-tied to the brake mounting bolts between the brake cantilever and the frame. If you have special integrated brakes, or a very, very small gap between the top of your tires and the brake cantilevers, then these will not work for you. I am running around 1.5mm of clearance between the tires and the fenders under the brakes on my bike, and these fenders are around 3 mm thick, so you can do the math there. Keep in mind: I run 25mm tires, so 23's will probably allow more clearance for me, and probably for you too. Overall, I'm very happy with these for my bike, but I am only running them in winter months, when the roads are nasty.
The fenders are light, silent and resilient to bending. They are practically invisible on my bike. Most importantly, however, there is no more water spraying on my back or feet.
Worked on my tight clearances. Pretty good coverage though the front fender tip could be a little wider. They look great and weigh very little.
I will assemble this weekend but just what I needed for the heavy rain here in Florida. Light weight looks like they will fit well on my Road bike. I post an update once they are installed. and I am on a ride in the rain. Best KC
perfect, i have 4 mm clearance and its fit :) tested @ winter/salt condition
These fenders are an excellent solution for road frames with minimal clearance. Be aware if your frame clearance does not match the requirements stated on the crud website, fitting will be challenging. (By the way, this limitation is not a flaw of the fenders but of the frame design). Once installed these fenders are rattle-free and provide excellent protection to the rider and anyone on following his wheel. I have another bike fitted with traditional full metal fenders and find the MK2 to be there equal if not superior (did I mention how quite they are?). I have purchased two sets of MK2 mudguards. Highly recommended!
I bought a pair. They looked good and I assumed they would fit but in the end there was insufficient clearance between the top of the fork/stays and the tyre (700 x 23). In hindsight I should have checked before ordering and definitely before fitting because I would probably have guessed they were not going to work. We live and learn - if you have a top end racing bike then check first.
