Great for touring and commuting, the Tubus Nova Lowrider Front Pannier Rack is made from durable, high strength stainless steel, and offers a lower mounting position than other panniers. Designed for use with 26"-28" wheels, it gives plenty of clearance space for wider tyres. Compatible with most frames on the market, the pannier is able to carry loads up to the weight of 15kg, whilst the extra mounting tabs will allow you to attach mudguards directly onto the rack. - L.M.

I'm mostly familiar with aluminum rear racks for short trips and commuting that to date have all worked well for my purposes. I do rotate between Ortlieb and TransIt panniers and Blackburn shopper panniers. This is my first 'quality steel' touring front rack that I put on a 650b low trail randonneur bike. Chose the stainless version to help ward off corrosion over time and the bike has all silver components/rims and wanted a rack to match. Installed easily and has enough built in mounting options/adjustments to to get the horizontal supports basically horizontal. Securely holds my Ortlieb sport packer plus panniers on front for the few commutes I've done so far. I don't ride very delicately--I'm a mountain biker at heart and find myself jumping curbs and taking dirt/gravel short cuts (rougher terrain) and the rack holds firm both loaded and unloaded. I did use lock-tight thread locker bolts on install as I'm not planning on pulling it off anytime soon. Recommended.
