Great Tire

I loved this tire the first mile I rode it. It is noticebly smooth and and fast. The rolling resistance is cleary better than other tires my friends ride on because I smoke everyone on downhills and when there is a strong wind to our back. I think it is right up there with the Continental Grand Prix 4000 for speed and ride, maybe even better. I haven't tried the Scwalbe One yet or the new Graphene Vittoria's but this tire is in that range of elite tires. The PRB belt is above average for puncture protection and Ihaven't flatted yet in over 500 miles. Some say the tire seems wavery at high speed cornering but I haven't noticed any problem at speed at all, you must have to go awfully fast to have this alledged problem. Can't say how they wear but they still look new with 500 miles on them so it can't be bad and it also shows they are cut resistant. For the price they are selling at, these tires are a a bagain and I highly recommend getting the 24 mm width F&R for the better ride and pinch flat protection. The 24's weigh only 220 grams That is the other big advantage these have over 23 mm width tires where you gain speed and comfort while losing nothing.

Radiale bike tires

I had a previous set of Vittoria Radiale 2 years ago. The new tire seems better. Too early to tell how long they will last. They roll and handle very nicely. I pump tires to 115 psi and I weigh 180 lbs. and they roll fast and feel cushiony (good thing) but transmit enough of road surface to keep you informed. (as good tires should for safety) We ride good and bad roads, a mix of smooth, some pot holes, stone chipped and occasionally hard packed road. No cuts in tire or flats in 300 miles. Riding style would be classified as aggressive Club riding.

O the ride

I have riden these for a couple of seasons now and I am smitten. They have a pliable elastic feel to them that's unique. They are sensitive to tire pressure, too soft and they feel squirmy, too hard and they just feel like any other tire and you're denying yourself that mama bear just right and delicious ride. The closest thing I can compare them to is the original Conti Gran Prixs from about 20 years ago, unfortunately those had deplorable durability. I returned to the Gran Prixs about 14 years and do still really enjoy them. The Pro Radiales are only yielding approximately 1/3 of the life span of the Gran Prixs and as such are not a bargain, more a treat.

Not puncture resistant?

Not sure about these - during first ride with these had two flats in the rear tire within 1 kilometer of each other. Two separate punctures. Have ridden same road with Rubino Pros many times without any problems. Could have been bad luck with the Diamante's but will be sticking to Rubino's from now on.
