Equipped with Michelin’s bi-compound, which balances puncture protection, wear resistance, and grip with exceptional precision, as well as a high-density ply to maximize puncture protection, the Michelin Pro 4 Endurance tire designed for riding hard over rough roads. At the core of this tire lies the lightweight 110TPI casing, which helps the tire to feel supple and grip the road when corners hard. Despite all this performance, a 25mm Michelin Pro 4 Endurance tire only weighs 225 grams in a 23mm width, making it a perfect choice of winter tire for your performance road bike.

  • Lower rolling resistance, better resistance to wear and better grip thanks to the Bi-Compound technology
  • In the center of the tread the rubber mix offers more rigidity and on the shoulder areas more grip
  • Better protection against the punctures in the tread area and sidewalls thanks to a high-density protection ply which is laid from bead to bead
  • Anti puncture ply with HD Protection laid bead To bead: +40 % better resistance to punctures on average (1) compared to the main competitor!
  • New casing ply that is 3X110 TPI
  • Tread area is a Bi-compound
  • Lateral tread width optimized for improved grip when cornering

Michelin Pro 4

So far so good about 1K miles... feels tough and well built

So far so good

Esy to insall (easyer than pro3 race at least) and very good grip. We will see about the endurance in a couple month. Very good product at good price

Excellent Tire

Great tire, great price, great shipping. Will order again.

The perfect tire

size 28 fits more like 30mm, super reliable, very low rolling resistance, a little bit hard to fit when new

Kevin

I purchased a pair of Michelin Pro 4 Endurance 28mm tyres as replacements for some Continental Gatorskins. These were fitted on a steel framed bike mainly used for cycling the Devon country lanes and touring. I was so impressed that I bought another set for another bike. But, I am now having my doubts. After using these for a few hundred miles I have the impression that under braking, in the wet they do not grip. This is difficult to substantiate but what I am certain of is that climbing steep hills in the wet, on smooth tarmac, they lose traction and the wheels spin. All bikes can lose traction under these circumstances but my experience is on known routes, compared with other tyres and rather than being an occasional issue it is consistent to the extent that I am nervous getting up out of the saddle. I am running these on two bikes on Mavic Open Pro and Open Sport rims at 75-80 psi in normal winter conditions. My conclusion would be that they are not a four season tyre. For my type of cycling, they are one of the best tyres I have used in the dry but when conditions are damp, I lose confidence.

Michlin Pro 4 Endurance

I have purchased the Endurance Clinchers before and often over the years. They last a very long time, longer than the Pro 4 Service Course, I think. They corner well and seem to have good traction on wet pavement.

Good Tires

I have now run several sets of these tires in all three sizes. One of my older carbon fiber bikes that was totally un-rideable because it was so stiff rides like a complete dream now with 28's on it. I would not have believed that. A set of 23's that I have been riding on an Eddy Merckx Corsa after 1000 miles look hardly worn. I put a set of 25's as tubeless on a set of tubeless wheels. As I was riding through some dappled sunlight under trees I picked up something large enough that the tire was actually thumping. I rubbed it off with my gloved hand and the hole immediately sealed and I haven't had any problems since. This tubeless setup only has to be pumped up half as often as the clinchers. I am very satisfied with these tires.
