The Michelin Pro 4 Service Course Tyre provides a high level of performance in any conditions. This tyre provides the perfect blend of sports performance and long-lasting wear. Enhancing the speed, safety and agility, the Pro 4 Service Course tyre also reduces the rolling resistance compared to its predecessor, the Pro 3 Race.
Not only is the Pro 4 Service Course safe, it's also 16% faster when cornering in wet conditions. This is possible thanks to the dual-compound technology with its wider lateral bands for excellent grip at leaning angles, along with the new elastomers and silica for additional shoulder grip. Michelin Pro 4 Service Course sets the standard for high performance, long-wearing tyres. - A.D.

I bought 3 of these to replace my worn out cont 4000s. What can I say...The price was right. I put about 100 miles on them before doing IMLP this year (2014). The tires felt great and rolled smooth. Anyone that has done this race in the past, knows the speeds you can hit on the Keene descent. My training run a few days before, I hit 54mph and the tires were solid. Race day loop one in the pouring rain (and when I say pouring - I mean thunderstorm..massive rain type of rain), I hit 41 and they felt great...no issues at all, 2nd loop dry, I hit 51 and again, they felt great. All in all - I have to say, these are my new goto tires. I would give these a huge A+.

OK, shorts, saddles, and bar tape preference is highly subjective. The best tires that can be bought at any price are by Michelin. To me, this has become objective. Since my first pair of Axial Pro to today's Pro4 I have burned through my share of tires. Consistently I have averaged nearly 3,500 miles per pair. 3-4 pair per year.
Continental makes stiff tires that resist puncture slightly better. Vittoria and others make high performing models that don't last as long. If you care about the trifecta of performance, durability and economy look no further. Try a pair. Inflate them properly and rotate back to front periodically. If you buy your own tires you should be buying these or similar Michelin models.

These are great tires for training. Good wear, good grip, low puncture rate, low weight - everything you could want in a training tire. Can be a little difficult to mount 1st time but once they have formed to your wheels they are easy to maintain.

Fantastic, especially in the 25mm width. Ride quality is great for a clincher. Run these at 90 psi and it is better than a carbon framed bike.

I purchased these tires after my buddy raved about how better riding on his bike was with them. Indeed this is true! My ride is much more smoother, I feel faster and there is less vibration/shock as you ride over small cracks on the road. Plus, the price value is amazing compared to what I would have paid at my local bike shop.

So Far since I've purchased these tires, I have racked up around 220 miles and I would have to say these tires are flawless. Very smooth and easy riding with a nice sharp turning ratio, versus my last pair of vitorias which lasted me around 2222 calculated miles. I have even used them in the rain, and I have no complaints as they hold the road very well. I am very pleased with the quality and would definitely buy another set of these in the future if I needed to.

This is my 4th set of Michelin Pro's. My first set of 25's rather than 23's. I love the ride and low rolling resistance. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they are only good for 2500-3000 miles on the rear. Have not had any problem with flats. No comments on the 25's since snow and cold weather hit shortly after I got them.

I am looking forward to trying the new tires when the weather breaks during the winter months in Chicago. I am sure I will love the tires if they perform as good as they look. Plus, the price is very fair.

I've been using the Michelin pro race tires for at least 10 years, started with the pro race and then the pro 1's to now the pro 4's. On a good day I weigh 174, and get 3500 miles per rear tire. The only times this has not happened is when I've sliced the tire. I love them for their wear and handling. I will always purchase these and have not purchaces another manufacture's tire since the original purchase. I have also averaged 4000 to 5000 miles per year and use only the Michelin's.

These tires (tyres) provide a soothing, sure feel on average road conditions. Good sidewall performance with almost no rolling on tight turns or roundabouts at speed. They tend to TING a bit when running over road debris but I haven't seen any surface gouges or slices after 300 miles. When pushed to maximum inflation, 110 psi, they are stiff and reassuring on high cadence speed runs. I get a more confident ride with these Mich's than with almost any other tire. Expect an upswing in average speed with excellent feedback.

This tire is a great improvement over the PR3 tire which was prone for quick wear and punctures. I used PR4's for road races and time trials with great success in 2013. The PR4's really do it all in my opinion. Lightweight, low rolling resistance, corner well. They will be my stand by tires for all my races in 2014.

What a deal at ProBikeKit for these excellent all purpose tires. I don't race, but I ride hard (for my age!). Pro4's last long, are easy to install, corner well, and are supple and comfortable. My riding is all in dry weather, so I can't speak to wet weather performance. And, you can't beat ProBikeKit's prices.

Please note that I haven't ridden much on these tyres yet so I only have a basic initial impression. I have 700x25mm rubino pro slicks that I really like. If anything the 700x25mm Michelin Pro 4 Race Service Course tyres feel pretty much the same in terms of rolling resistence, perhaps slightly slower rolling. There are not many choices if you want 25mm wide slick tyres at a reasonable price, so I would happily buy these again. Probikekit.com has excellent prices for sure.

As much as you probably spend on your bike you should know by now that the only rational option for tires is Michelin. You might get 10% more miles from Continental and you might get negligibly more comfort from Vittoria. That said, there is only 1 choice for crits, training, rain, hot, cold, and screaming through a chicane without hitting the brakes. I replace my Pros every 2,500 miles in most cases. I rarely get the first puncture before 2,000. I have full confidence that I can carve a turn at 45 mph without coming off. Bottom line, for bike, car, moto, every other brand is second best.

I was very skeptical about trying different tires, I have been using Conti GP4000s for a few years now and they are by far the best tires until I tried the Pro 4 Race Service Course tires. I wish they would make a tubeless version! I use the 25 mm and at first they looked like balloon tires but the ride was great, very responsive but plush at the same time. We have lots of different road conditions in Northern California everything from busted up road surface to new asphalt, concrete or chip seal with the occasional dirt road or gravel. I never felt out of control with this tire, also I am very surprised about the durability still riding them after about 2000 miles / 3200 km.

I went to Michelin 4's after reading great write-ups of their wet-weather performance in the TdF a couple of years ago. I'd just had a slip-spin-crash when riding on a wet paved trail -- the push to accelerate going forward on the wet was enough to spin the bike out. I was desperate for a great wet-weather tire.
The Michelin Pro 4's have been that tire. They are fast and great for touring and everyday riding. They're also durable, and I've always gotten 1,000 miles or more from them. As noted above, the place where they shine most is in wet weather. They simply grip and hold, wet or dry. I may not push wet performance that hard, but it's great to have the slipping surprises gone away.
Great tire! These will be all I ride until Michelin comes out with the Pro 5...

As others have written these are good cornering tires with good traction. But they are very fast wearing and if you look at them crooked they get a flat. And if you get a soft tire from such a slow leak and hit a sharp bump it puts a soft spot on the tread. This doesn't seem to hurt anything but makes me a bit nervous. Also using them on "tubeless" rims causes the rubber to wear away from the cord on the area touching the sharp part of the rim. So I feel ambivalent towards them and would probably use Gatorskins instead.

Fine print - I have only clocked 50 miles on them so I cannot vouch for long term durability. They haven't let me down yet though.

This is my second set of Michelin's. My 1st set was the Pro3 and I put 2000+ miles on them before rear tire started to show the cord coming through. I do quite a bit of hills so there is always a good amount of torque to the back wheel being applied. I thought the ride and handeling were great. I had quite a bit of wet roads this year due to the rainy weather pattern here in the Northeast and traction was great as well. Some of the riding included dirt roads with long climbs. Never flatted even with 2000 miles already on them. I Just put the Pro4s on and have about 100 miles on those. Not much to report on yet other then the ride seems as good as the Pro3s. Will report back later on how well they wear and handle in different conditions. Bottom line is I bought the Pro4s because I like the Pro3s so much!
