The Arione is 1 of fi’zi:k’s 3 Spine Concept™ Mens Road Saddle shapes.  Of these 3, the Arione shape is flat, narrow and long.  In certain respects, the launch of the original Arione in 2003 was the end of an era for black, non-descript functional-looking racing saddles.  Fi’zi:k redefined the racing saddle category by introducing elegant products that were not only comfortable, but also a source of beauty in their own right.  The Arione shape has become a World best-seller.

The Arione 00 (00 meaning “the top” in Italian) is the top-of-the-line saddle available in this shape.  The high-modulus carbon shell with Wing Flex™, Twin Flex™ and Mobius carbon braided rail make this the lightest and most stiff Arione model available.  Despite the saddle’s very low weight, special 00 foam compound ensures that comfort is not compromised.

If you are very spinally flexible (far less than 90 degrees between your straight legs and your back when bending over as far as you can, keeping your legs straight a shoulders’ width apart), you are a Snake.  You achieve the performance position using your spinal flexibility alone, not rotating your pelvis at all.
