Look's brand new Keo 2 MAX pedal as used by the Tour 2009 winner Alberto Contador and countless others. New for this model is an increased contact surface area and steel wear plate.
At a mere 130g in composite the Keo 2 MAX is one of the lightest pedals in its category. This has been achieved through the use of a carbon injection process (carbon model) allowing for weight reduction and improved durability.
Particular attention was focused on reliability and provided through features such as: a stainless steel cleat contact area, an oversized axle with dual seals, making this a pedal built to last. The new line of Keo 2 MAX pedals maintains a low cleat contact height even with the use of a steel oversize axle. The pedal is built with two miniature ball bearings (12mm inner x 18mm outer diameters) and a needle roller bearing. LOOK axles are only approved once they have survived a million cycles at 100 revolutions per minute with a 90kg (198lbs) load at the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (replicating a bump each revolution). This test largely surpasses current standards (reference NF EN 14781). Dual seals help to increase bearing longevity.
Thanks to 14mm of threads on the new LOOK axle, the Q-factor may be extended by 2mm with the use of specific washers available separately. Use of these specific washers results in a Q-factor of 55mm versus the original 53mm.
"Bigger platform and smoother float for Look's updated KeO pedal..."
Look's ubiquitous KeO road pedal receives a significant update in the new KeO 2 Max, with a wider composite body and co-moulded stainless steel upper plate that lends a more solid feel underfoot and less out-of-plane rocking compared to the original KeO. When it comes for your mid-ride cafe stop, soft rubber pads on the front and back of the cleats help prevent embarrassing spills on slick floors.

These are very nice pedals. They are made in France. The bearings work great after training and racing style use. They have been very durable and they look great. The wide platform is very comfortable. They are also lightweight.
I'd like to retract my earlier review about the new pedals having a tick. It was my magnet hitting my cadence sensor. I must have moved it putting on the pedals or cleaning.
I was going crazy, looking at every single bike store in Orlando,Florida and the prices I found were too high for my budget,so I went on goggle search and probikekit.com came out with a better price. Those pedals looks beautiful in my black bike and I am riding and training much better. It is an excellent product and I will recommend it to everybody.
Great service with PBK, as always. Just built a brand new Scott Foil and saw these pedals, matching the colorscheme lime-green black. My bike was finished last week, got fit to it and these pedals are fantastic. They feel great, look great - LOOK is a great dependable brand.
Special edition colors are a sweet addition to the basic schemes offered. Nice price for a quality pedal.
My second pair - needed to finish the color coordination on my bike! :)
Right up there with the Look Carbon Blade pedals for a good amount less. Light, solid engagement, good surface area platform, adequate float... everything you want from a pedal.
Improvement on the already awesome keo2classic. Stable. Powerful. Easy to clip in. Light. Fast. Looks cool.
I had bought these pedals to match my Trek Domane 2.3, which is white and red. These pedals are excellent. They clip in and out very smoothly. I normally ride with the Look Keo Blade so it was very familiar.
I have 4 bikes with the Look Keo 2 MAX Composite Limited Edition Pedals on each of them. They are easy to use, plenty light enough and affordable. It's great value for money and I also like the colour options - it helps in detailing the bike just right.
