Well in the wet

These are a very technical pair of bibs which work very well in the wet conditions. Below the knee is a rubbery fabric on which the water just spills off. However under this portion of the tights there is no insulation. To get the best out of them, I use knee length woolen socks. A good pair of insulated booties is also very helpful. Without the long socks and booties I think they are good for about 7c. With good socks and booties I have been in 2 - 0c and found them comfortable. In terms of water ingress, they are similar to Sportful Norain bibs but superior in the lower leg. If I suspect rain, I use duct tape around the top of the booties onto the bibs. This causes the rain to run off the tights and over the booties and my feet remain dry for much longer. Best use of duct tape! I am 5'10' 79kg 42" chest. The XL fit very well. I would score them 5 stars if there was insulation in the lower leg and I also think for a "xwarm" the insulation could be a little thicker.
