Nice to have variety

These are good because they come in little blocks that are easy to consume. However it's always a good idea to cut the top off with scissors because it makes it easier to consume them when you're on the bike. Good for hot days because they're really soft and it's almost like gummy bears

One of my absolute favorites

5

The Clif Shot Blocks are terrific. The package makes it easy to slide each block out one at a time without dropping a block. The flavor and texture are very pleasing and encourage eating more. Price per calorie is also good. These are a must have item for long rides or races.

Good, but tough to get down when on the limit!

4

As said, they are good for replenishing on your long weekend training rides, but when you're really blowing they are a bit chewy to get down. Having said that, for just over £2 I don't think you can go wrong..

Wonderful source of energy during rides

5

I absolutely love Clif Shot Bloks. They provide sustained energy when I need it most. I eat two at a time at 20 minute intervals on longer rides. I love that I can easily control how many bloks I eat at a time. My favourite: black cherry.

A good alternative to Gels

4

These are well worth a try if you haven't used them before. I didn't find them hard to chew or have problems with them sticking to teeth etc as others have. The advantages over gels for me were the fact that they didn't get hands all sticky when opening during race and also know sticky used gel wrapper in pockets after use.

I found them more pleasant tasting than most gels I've used and most importantly they do give you that extra boost, especially towards the end of a long race or training session.

Tasty!

5

I tried the strawberry flavour and I must say it's the first energy gel that actually taste good. It's not really a gel, they are just blocks of solid jelly so it's not messy at all. Each packet contains 6 blobks and is equivalent to 2 gels (3 blocks per serving). The packet is long and thin so it's easy to stuff a few into the back of the jersey, perfect for those long days on the saddle and/or sportives.

The orange flavour has a bit of caffeine in it to give you an extra boost which is always nice towards the end of a long ride. Will definitely be ordering more!

perfect ride snack

5

This product is a great way to stay adequately fuelled on any length of ride. The individual pieces can be rationed out over a long day to keep energy levels up or consumed a few at a time at the end of a ride or before a big climb for that little boost! The Shot Bloks also taste delicious and come in many flavours and don't leave that unpleasant feeling in your stomach that some of the Gel products do.

The packaging is also very convenient to store in a jersey pocket and easy to access.

Superb

4

The strawberry tastes great and you can really feel the boost when taking one whilst riding. This contains 6 pieces, with really firm bloks of gel. Take this and you should be able to perform well.

Taste great and work quick

5

Much like a gel, but without the mess. I often find that I drip a little gel every time I ingest some during a race. It's not a big deal, but it does make my hands and shifters sticky... and of course must be cleaned off. Having a "gel" in block format is a great idea and the taste like gummy bears. Although I agree it takes a while to get them out of your teeth, if you take a swig of water directly after eating a couple of cubes the stick-to-the-teeth thing is minimal.

Way to chewy

1

Be careful chewing these things and racing, they take a bit to chew
