I'm impressed with the fit and how these shoes feel like a road shoe, except walking is better than dealing with protruding cleats. The size 45s fit like an American size 10½ and have space for the toes to move. The 3 straps (2 hook & loop and 1 strap with an easily adjustable buckle) secure the shoes but could be tweaked while riding. Be aware that if you want a shoe for walking, this is not for you. The sole under the ball of the foot is significantly thicker to surround the cleat, so it isn't flexible. It's a bit like walking in a pair of Earth Shoes I had in the 1970's where the heel is lower than the front of the foot. But, if you're looking for a bike shoes where you may have to do some walking, this shoe offers an excellent compromise.
