SPD compatibility not good
So these are okay shoes, a little on the cheap side (you get what you pay for), however the changeover to SPD was a nightmare. Because the little flap that you need to lift to put in the anchor for the cleat was very securely and unintentionally glued down, I had to destroy the insert to lift the flap. Not a very enjoyable half hour of swearing and frustration with a pair of needle nose pliers…

Fit is perfect. Quality is superb, only thing that concerns me is that it is slippery on hard surfaces especially when mounting the bike. Very dangerous when dismounting the bike.
Decent shoes
After a disastrous start to my SPD-SL cycling induction with a pair of cheap Diadora shoes (which literally fell apart after three weeks) I spent a bit more money and bought a pair of these. Wow, a revelation. I know you can get pairs costing the earth but I'm so impressed with these. I bought a size and a half bigger coz I've got very wide feet and stuck an insole in. No issues with them. Done over 200 miles in three weeks so far. Seem well built. Quite comfortable too.
