PBK BIB Shorts - Heritage
4Great value for money which compares with much more expensive italian made products. Very comfortable with great seat pad. Sizing spot on.

3I really wanted to love these bib shorts, they are a superb price for the quality but they just aren't for me. What's good about them? They look really nice with a mixture of standard Lycra and 'carbon lycra' panels. The stitching is really well done and while the seams aren't flatlocked this doesn't cause any discomfort and isn't noticeable or bulgy. The fit is good (I went for small as a 5' 9" man with 31" inside leg and a sprinters thighs - but not the speed) and they are comfortable...off the bike. They also have some little scotchlite reflective details which is a nice touch if you are commuting or on darker rides. The overall quality is worth more than the reduced price. So why only three stars? My main problem is the pad. There is a good amount of padding around the sit bones but it thins out towards the front and, for me, doesn't give enough padding under the perineum. I've had bib shorts from lots of manufacturers and this is the only one I've found uncomfortable. I'm also bike fitted so this isn't a problem with my ride position. These are mainly used on a short commute of 7 miles but even in that short distance I suffer discomfort. But pads are subjective and the other reviewer has had no problem so if you are happy to take a put on 35 quid these are a bargain if they work for you. My only other minor niggles are the labels and the scotchlite tabs. I'm used to cutting out labels so they don't dig in my back but these have spiky corners that are poking out of the stitching and there is little or nothing I can do you cut them out without wrecking the panel stitching. The scotchlite tabs are a nice idea but they stick out like mini Gary Lineker ears and I don't know why but that annoys me! They also face the ground when I'm riding so won't actually be very effective but that could just be my ride position. But like I said, little niggles aside, these are really nice shorts worth way more than the 35 quid I paid so if you are happy to risk that and the pad works for you these are a steal.

5I received these bibshorts at a great price, and they have immediately become my number one pair - so much so that I want to replace my other high end bib shorts with 4 more of these. I have road raced on these, and ridden 300km non stop with absolutely zero complaints - seriously the best pad I have ever used. Quality, good value cycling bibshorts pretty much sums them up!

5I had been wearing PBK's elite bib shorts, and loved them. These bibs are of the same quality. The PBK Heritage bibs run a bit small, like the elite bibs. I normally wear mediums, but ordered large, and they fit perfectly.
