To put onto a brand-new MTB
Yes, I'll be discarding my stock grips straight away. I got the black variant. They're to go on a 2021 Norco Storm 1 SE. I take delivery of this mountain bike early in 2022. Although I have not had the chance to test them out on a bike, I can already make a few observations of these grips. They are directional: one is for the left, the other for the right. Look for a small 'L' and 'R' moulded into the outer ends of the grips. The outer ends are open, which means that I can easily mount some Zéfal Spin rear-view mirrors into the handlebars. The grips are single lock-on. There is a lock ring that goes on the inner end of each grip. The rounded side of the lock ring faces your bike's controls, while the right-angled side faces the body of the grip. Last but not least, these grips have a great tacky feel that is sure to provide plenty of control to my ride. The inner diameter of the grips is about 22mm. Outer diameter: about 29mm. Length: about 134mm.
