Great bar tape, easy to install, soft and squidgy without losing road feel completely. Great looks, a touch pricey, but the cheapest on PBK! Definitely Recommended!Report this review
Pricey but worth it...5
Okay so you can get the traditional cork tape for a quarter of the price but i used to change my tape 2-3 times a year. I've only had to buy this after 2 and bit years use but longevity isn't all that this tape excels at... I find it more comfortable and the grip (especially in the wet) is many times better. Put simply, on a road bike i wouldn't use anything else!Report this review
This stuff looks the business, strong vibrant colours. Felt really nice to grip, very cushy. Bit pricey. Was a bit hard to keep clean after a while, I had the green.Report this review
Number 1 bar tape tested5
Durasoft polymer tape is grippy even when wet, vibration damping is brilliant too.Report this review
Never use another tape again after switching to lizard skins! The tape really compliments aluminum bars with its cushioning 2.5mm thickness. The grip is astounding and I have never used anything like it in a bar tape! I absolutely love it! Have had to rewrap my bars an unbelievable amount of times, cuz of drivetrain issues (my fault) and this tape is as good as new after all that abuse! Unheard of in a bar tape! Instructions say to not stretch tape too much on install, which I followed the first time. But, everytime after, I pulled the tape a lot tighter and found it to be durable and also more appealling to me as it seemed a bit too spongy for my liking upon first wrap! highly recommended, give it a try, you won't be dissappointed. worth the high cost!Report this review
Nice grip, low durability3
Very nice tape when it comes to the texture. Very sticky, quite comfortable even though it's not quite as cushy as classic cork.
However, durability is quite poor. Started wearing and tearing after about 2000km.
You can maybe make it last two seasons by reinstalling it a few times to change the contact zones but it's still quite expensive for the time it lasts.
Still gets 3 stars due to comfort and tacky touch.
Really Great tape, take your time installing4
This tape is the best tape I have used, just make sure you take your time during the install, or it will loosen up over time..Report this review
Remarkably tacky surface even when wet, cushy feel and easy installation...4
Roadies who find themselves on rough surfaces will undoubtedly welcome the way the DSP material takes the shock out of their hands – and maintains feeling in their fingers...
"The rubbery feel won't suit riders who prefer a more natural sensation, though, and not everyone looking for something grippy wants something so squishy..."
If grippy and squishy is exactly what you're going for, however, and you don't mind the artificial look and feel, Lizard Skins Dura Soft Polymer tape is an easy choice.
