It works...
5Having wrapped a few bars now, I'm getting used to not waiting till my bar tape gets totally manky. Btw, I double wrap from the hoods up - bumpy and coarse roads where I live. Cinelli works so I'll keep using it and will always have a couple of cork ribbon packets on standby.
Report this reviewshiny tape
4I was surprised to find this Cinelli Cork Ribbon Handlebar Tape was shiny, looking like old vinyl from a 60s Schwinn. It is cork, but may not be what you expect aesthetically.
Report this reviewBig name, poor quality

While the "padding" is adequate, the quality on this tape is poor. You can only apply it once. If you made a mistake the first time around, peeling it off will peel off a huge amount of the cork tape as well.
The regular Deda tape is better. I've taped and re-taped my handlebars around 5x during my build and not once it lost it's adhesive nor it doesn't peel off a part of the tape.
Average tape with a big name

Cinelli Cork Ribbon handlebar tape is just as good as any other, but for a little bit more money than most. Cork is nice for its slight cushion, ease of installation and good grip even when slightly wet. Cork is not as durable as synthetic leather or leather but the aforementioned benefits and lower price often outweigh more expensive alternatives.
Cinelli has a huge range of colors, which is the only real quality that sets it apart from other brands. As far as performance it is just as good as any other but a bit more expensive. In my opinion save your money and buy something else unless you really need that unique color.
very durable tape
4I'm not a big fan of cork but this tape is really nice. Very grippy. Hard to re-wrap if you need to remove it to fix your shifters or something. good tape though.

I have used this last year, and it is really nice. Good grip, comfortable and durable.

Great classic cork tape

I love re-wrapping my bars with new tape and this stuff does the job, looks neat and is comfortable to ride with. I got the black tape and if you're after something completely black be aware that this stuff has cork (?) flecks through it... not something I was really concerned with, just thought I'd mention it.
The only downside of this tape is how hard it is to get off when re-wrapping. Because of the sticky backing the tape rips and leaves chunks all over my bars. Other than that, it's good gear and I'd recommend it.
