I purchased the Tiagra 4600 groupset for a project bike I was working on. This is a very good set and I highly recommend it. My only disappointment was the packing. The group set was not packaged in original shimano packaging and as a result, I feel it was a little unprotected for shipping, especially the crankset. All in all, this groupset is very good.
I bought this group set when I couldn't find the exact replacements for my 1984 Fuji Sagres. I had to do some retrofitting and create new wheels to accept the cassette, but the bike is awesome now!
This is a good groupset for an entry level bike. Shifts reliably. Perfect for someone who is is just getting into cycling or building a bike. Bought this when building a bike for my daughter and we are both pleased. Its a big performance step up from the less expensive groupsets and definitely worth the price. I wouldn't use anything other than Tiagra.
