Great trainer

I have used this frame for about 4 x years now for commuting, fast training, club runs and longer rides - about 200 miles a week. I am about 5'11" and 14 stone and use the 'Medium' size with mid range mix of campag components and either Kinetic 'K1' or other 30mm deep V aero wheels (20/40) and cheap alpina/Dolan carbon fork.. It is probably the best cheap training frame I have bought: - Handling is superb. Very stable and predictable. - Comfort is good on decent roads and, tyres/pressures permitting, acceptable on rougher roads. - Because of the curly seatstays and chainstays and the fact that they remain pretty much small and circular in section all the way to the BB shell, there is more resilience in the rear triangle than higher/spec. + cost alu. frames I have used before. - I've always liked Columbus alloy but this 'CK' basic version is generally more user friendly than say the higher Zonal set they used for thier old CK2B frame which I found punishing after a while, - I have absolutely thrashed this frame for years now and it has stood up with no cracks or other problems. (I wish my steel frames in the past lasted this long before they broke). - The only con I can think of is that, although you can throw this around into corners with no drama, the lack of stiffness in the rear triangle and B/B area means that sprinting or climbing is not that responsive. I am pretty certain I will buy again to replace my current frame.

Great Value

The Tifosi CK3 Road Frame is not the most comfortable frame in the world, and I've seen tidier welding, but if you're after something super-stiff with the back wheel tucked in as tight as possible then this could be for you. It copes well with the demands of big powerful riders.
