I bought this bag for a recent triathlon training camp in Lanzarote. My old Cervelo P3 fitted inside like a glove and it was easy to pack. The bike was transported safely; however, on the outward flight the hard plastic sphere on the outside of the bag, which protects the wheel hub, was ripped off by the baggage handlers. This is stitched on and I now need to find someone to repair it. If this protection was inside the wheel bag instead of the outside, this would prevent the issue. Overall, a good bag which is light and easy to manoeuvre around the airport.

Recent Bike Bag Purchase

5

Very happy to purchase and receive these 2 quality bike bags for my wife and I for upcoming travels. Price was great and the delivery was fantastic during the pandemic and supply chain challenges. Probike answered inquiries very quickly and followed up with excellent results. thanks

Almost perfect

I had some high expectations when I bought this Bag. I have used a lot of different methods to transport my bike to races and I had noticed this bag at several airports. Sadly, it is not one size fits all. It is a long way from just taking off your wheels and strapping it in. First thing I noticed is that it is not compatible with most rear hydration set ups. Fortunately mine comes off with just a couple of screws. Secondly, as others have mentioned, the pedals really need to come off. But the biggest disappointment is that I had to loosen my aero bars and rotate then downward to get the bag closed. (54cm Cervelo P2 DI2) Again, not a big deal. But just more adjustment to make to get the bike ready. Still, it is a marked improvement over any of my other transport boxes. Extremely well made. Easy to adjust and set up. Light weight makes it a breeze to get through airports. Doesn't take up a lot of space in hotel rooms when empty.

Scicon Aerocomfort 3.0 Triathlon bike bag

Overall, way better than a bike box as very little disassembly required to pack the bike. Easy to tow. Room to pack other stuff like helmet, wetsuit, pump. Seemed to survive its first flight ok. However, on first use packing the bike seemed more involved than expected as the instructions don't cover everything and you need to watch the video clip closely a few times to pick up everything you need to know. Also, the lock nut provided to lock the frame in place is useless, as it is too wide to fit across the tube and the threaded stem broke on its first use.

So Convenient!!

I borrowed the second generation of this bag for several trips & loved it. It is so easy to pack & protects my bike quite well. The new version adds exterior handles for lifting which is really nice.

After doing a lot of research between soft and hard case, I finally decided for the best soft case available on the market. I am frequently flying by plane so what finally decided me was the super lightweight of this scicon. I did 2 trips by plane and it is still bran new, and the most important is that the bike landed without any scratch or little damaged. It takes no more than 20 minutes to packed your bike, you just need to deflate and remove the wheels, that all!. Aerobars, pedals, seat, stays in the same place and you still have a lot of room to place more stuff (i packed my wetsuit, shoes, helmets and running shoes inside it and i was still under 23 kg) A personal experience is that when i finished my race, I packed my bike in 20 minutes and i saw a lot of competitors that took almost an hour to pack their bikes to the bonza hard case, really happy with this purchase and highly recommended.
