Cracks Easily
2This is my third attempt to write a review as PBK thought my previous 1-star reviews were too low to publish. I bought the PBK bike box for my wife as we needed a second bike box for our cycling trip. We already had a Bonza bike box but looking online we saw PBK had their own similar case on offer… from what we saw this looked like a great bargain, so we went with it! Although we saved a bit of money on the purchase we were very frustrated with the quality of the box and after just the first use the box cracked and now needs to be repaired or replaced. The ABS material seems to be very brittle and cracks far too easily and as a result the case hasn't lasted more than one trip. The PBK bike box does have visual similarities to the Bonza bike box but it's clear that the Bonza has a more malleable plastic which is able to withstand impact better, which I feel gives it the edge. Overall, I wish I had spent the extra money on the Bonza bike box for a stronger and more durable option.

Good product
4I haven't used the box yet, but will do so in the next few months. First impressions are that it is very high quality. Seems very sturdy, I was surprised just how solid it feels, very little deflection in the panels. Internal padding seems to be of good quality too. The rollers on the bottom are very smooth and it is easy to move around. Looking forward to using it on a couple of European trips this year, one of them is to the Stelvio Pass - I'm confident the bike box will be up the trip, just hope I am too 🙂

5Absolutely brilliant never used one before but this was so easy to pack really stable when all fastened in using the Velcro straps and so effortless to move about. Worth every penny considering the quality compared to other more expensive boxes.

5This thing is magnificent. I already gave a short term review and my good feeling never proved wrong. After some flights with transit and everything, the case had no issues. The bike stayed totally unharmed. Material is tough, details are tough, it's relatively light (13-14kg). If you buy a lighter case to avoid weight limits on low-cost flights you won't have that much protection and it might turn out to be pretty costly. Buying a more expensive case will probably not offer you anything more. Highly recommendable

5Fantastic value!! Got an extra 10% off, this box is pretty much the Bonza box but a couple hundred bucks cheaper. I purchased my order on a Sunday and received it on Thursday.... Love these guys!

4Very good value for money bike box at this price. Used it a few time for air travel, and no issue at all regarding the bike, so it is doing what it is supposed to do. On the downside, the box is a bit heavy so you won't be able to put much more in it than your bike if you don't want to go above the 23kg limit. Also one of the attach for the frame gave up on the first trip, without possibility to repair it. No big deal, but I hope the other ones will last much longer.

3The bike case is easy to use, easy to move around and perfect size. It protects well the bike frame and derailleurs. On the other hand, The plastic part that connects to the quick release and protects the wheels broke after first use. I truly expect PBK to send new ones at no cost, as they were clearly not robust enough.

4Just completed a round trip to Spain and bike and case made it back in one piece. Tbh it was between 4 and 5 stars and had the instructions had slightly better photos and the rear wheel support not been so tricky to fit around the bike frame, it would be a 5. I had a couple of dry runs and after some fiddling about, managed to get the bike in with enough space to also pack my shoes, helmet, spare tyre and a few smaller items. My advice would be to take a photo once you are packed, as being slightly out of position with your bike may cause either of the wheel supports to miss a gap, which means the case won't close. The main issue was fitting the handlebars in to ensure the aforementioned wheel support had space to close, but once in the right position, everything was held in place firmly by the numerous velcro straps. The foam padding which is provided, should protect the wheels from the frame and once closed, the case wheels really well and is easy to move about. With my medium carbon bike and accessories, I was about 25kg so well under the limit for most airlines. All in all, pretty pleased and not a bad price either.
