Good, but difficult to fit
4These work well look good on, but they were difficult to fit - mainly because the instructions were unclear. The actual process of fitting them was not hard once I understood the instructions. Would recommend these for sure.
Report this reviewGood but could be better
4I bought these as my Ribble Gran Fondo didn't have proper mounts, they just... JUST fit with 23mm tyres, had to make 2 modifications though, had to file out a little notch for the spring on my rear brake, and had to put a little spacer between the front guard and brake zip tie to stop pushing the guard down at the back of the fork, sounds like a lot of work but really wasn't, took 30 mins to fit FIRST time, but after setting them up can fit them in about 2 mins with no trouble at all, that's the good part. Could be better part is the stays could be a lot stronger and the plastic screws (that one shook lose over a cattle grid) could be metal or stronger.

4I am very pleased with my new fenders. They are relatively easy to install and are hardly noticeable when riding. They hard rain and wet roads very well. I recommend them for those riders who wish to prolong their riding season on the wet roads of autumn.
Report this reviewUseful but fiddly to align
4Well, I've finally bitten the bullet and fitted guards. They're not too fiddly to assemble, in an Ikea-ish sort of way, but quite fiddly to align so that they do not rub. Still not got it quite sorted, as they tend not to stay where you put them after a few miles on UK back roads. On the plus side, they do work. My first ride with them was in a deluge, so most of me got drenched anyway, but they did keep my seat dry and my back mud-free, which was most definitely an improvement.

5I put these on an old Benotto steel frame for commuting. Everything fit, no problems. Was rubbing a bit on the top of the rear tyre but after a ride everything settled down and no rubbing now.

5These fenders are an excellent solution for road frames with minimal clearance. Be aware if your frame clearance does not match the requirements stated on the crud website, fitting will be challenging. (By the way, this limitation is not a flaw of the fenders but of the frame design). Once installed these fenders are rattle-free and provide excellent protection to the rider and anyone on following his wheel. I have another bike fitted with traditional full metal fenders and find the MK2 to be there equal if not superior (did I mention how quite they are?). I have purchased two sets of MK2 mudguards. Highly recommended!

4A little fiddly to fit but work very well once on and keep my bum dry. I did used to have SKS mudguards but prefer these crud road racer ones.
Report this reviewWell done
4These mudguards are quite interesting; very flimsy looking but they work rather well. Once fitted they do not touch the wheel though they sit very close to the wheel. They catch water much more than most mudguards and for the price, I would definitely recommend them. Hint: get someone with small fingers to help fit them. Once fitted you will not be disappointed.
Report this reviewGreat Mudguards
5Great guards for a road bike. Very light, easy to fit (with a bit of patience) and work extremely well. Also very strong. A stick in my spokes forced the guards off the side stay, but not damage as a result. The riders behind appreciate the low rear mudguard that makes group riding in the wet both more comfortable and safer. Highly recommended.

5These Crud Road Racer Mk2 Mudguards are a wonderful mudguard to fit into small gaps where you cannot fit a full mudguard, it's an ingenious design and I'm looking forward to many winter rides to keep me dry.
