Depends what you're upgrading from?

Having pushed my Strava times to something of a limit and feeling in good physical shape I figured, having been told by most bike shops that wheels are the most effective upgrade, I'd invest in something light and speedy. I had read many reviews of Campy Zondas and was easily convinced these babies were the upgrade from Shimy RS21s I was looking for. PBK deivered in great style: best price and speedy delivery to Australia. Avidly fitted them to the bike and eagerly awaited the next morning's ride. Day one: nice and quiet wheels that fee like they spin up readily compared to Shims. Solo ride and feeling a bit tired I console myself with a zero yielding Strava sweep. New wheels bedding in, I guessed. However more trips pass and no discernible improvement. Have to say, my expectations have been somewhat disappointed. Maybe they were set too high and Shimy RS21s aren't the basic runs I had thought. Nonetheless they do look great and pride ensures that I can discern some modest benefit from the not inconsiderable price tag! 440gs weight improvement has to count for something, I guess. Maybe I have just physically peaked.

Best bang for the buck

I bought these wheels to replace the stock dt swiss 3.0 that came on my Spec Tarmac. I was hesitant at first, many ridding buddies advised me to put more dollars on a new wheelset. I opted for the Zonda's anyways, based on all the good review. They are fantastic! I weight 185lbs and ride on bumby and cracked canadian roads and they are just great, not to stiff, not to soft, perfect balance for an "all rounder" wheel.

A great "entry" wheel from Campagnolo. First major upgrade to my ride after nearly 3years and several 1000 km of riding, replacing the the stock Shimano RS10. Lighter, stiffer and less rolling resistance (use less energy and "coast" longer) making for more enjoyable ride.

Excellent! The wheelset is really light and very stiff. I am over 95 kg but i find no problem after running 2500km. Thats just amazing.
