Responsive for alloy/Price is Awesome

4

Finally weather in Canada has been amazing; My first ride of the season with this 35mm Campagnolo Alloy. Did a 40 km hill training and I gotta it is responsive agile. I would have wished it would be a lil lighter. On straight away it is quick and a lil faster by 1.8-2.8km faster then regular aluminum no profile. Second ride was on 70 km rolly/flat terrain; It is quicker of start and on sprinting mode it does accelerate quicker, but yes noticed it is a lil heavier (1725grm) .. if it was a lil lighter like 100-125grms more am sure it would make a huge difference. Over all like it and price is awesome might purchase another if not then ( Fulcrum 35mm alloy ) for my other road bike. Thx Campagnolo/ProbikeKit Team/

Good, but poor rim tap

4

Solid wheels and quite stiff. Can't really say if a 35mm rim contributes to any aerodynamic benefits; but I bought these for longevity. On a bad note, the supplied rim tap is quite wide and prevents the tyre clinching the rim. I had to swap it out for a narrower rim tape. Aside from that...good wheels.

Campagnolo Scirocco 35mm

I have found shopping online at Probike easy, straight forward and very enjoyable. There are many deals out there if you are willing to look and my most recent purchase of the Campagnolo wheels are truly amazing. Will be shopping again in the near future.

A Beautiful Sound

5

Bought these to finish off a full refurb on a 2003 Principia Rex e. It's got full Campag group set and I wanted a wheel set to stand out. Bought these and they arrived superbly packaged. Fitted in no time, tyres went on easily (Viitoria Pros). The thing I love most about them, apart from the deep 35mm rims, is the lovely sound they make when riding along smooth tarmac. It feels like you're flying rather than cycling. I dunno if it's the rims or the aero spokes, but it's just beautiful. Definitely recommended.

First wheel upgrade ever! So good that.

5

First time I ever upgraded from a standard wheelset. Holy wow! These are ridiculous! Maybe placebo affect but my average speed went up 1.2-2.0 km/hr. They look fantastic being much deeper than the 20mm that came with my Defy 3. They are light considering the price, and ride amazingly smooth. Nice buzz too at high speed. The package came with spacer, so no problems fitting for 9-speed Sora. So good these bad boy ended up encouraging me to upgrade to a new bike! I immediately swapped the wheels onto Ultegra 11-speed cassette, fit like a glove. Probike had these shipped to my door in Quebec in just 4 business days! Well packaged. These are definitely a keeper. Super happy with the purchase. You won't regret them.

Good wheels

5

Finally got free tires on, down 7 levers, and thumb blisters… looks like the free tires offer is (Vredestein Fortezza TriComp) are gone now, but here are the tips i got back from kieran @ PBK regarding fitting them… " Although these tyres are tighter than most, the main cause of this will be down to the wheels, Campagnolo wheels are often difficult to fit new tyres on. there are few points which may make things slightly easier for you. When applying the second bead, ensure you're finishing at the valve rather than starting at the valve. When you're down to the final section of bead, ensure there is almost no air in the tubes and pinch the two beads together into the centre of the rim at the opposite side of the tyre, which should give a little slack in the tyre and allow you to force the last bit of bead over the rim." Took wheels out for quick 20miler just now. They are noticeably smoother and hold speed well. With Latex tubes they give a hint of that resonant sound that more expensive deep sections have as they roll by. Tires are great and roll beautifully. Up a couple of small hills the difference was obvious compared to my nearly square old Aksiums. These new wheels should help a bit in the local crits I've been doing. I would definitely go for these if you want cheap but noticeable upgrade with a hint of top end class, nice quiet hubs for extra stealth on surprise attacks!
