These tires seem to really grip in the turns, even in wet conditions. I went from some old 18mm kevlar tires that I had for ages to these. The ride is much more comfortable and feels much more secure. I don't know why, but they feel faster and easier to climb with as well. The 150 TPI means I can keep them rather hard, which probably helps with reduced rolling friction.
Hi my review so far for the tires:- I have had the tires for a few weeks now and have covered over 750 miles, the tire Pros: 1.Grip very well 2.Good Training Tires 25mm 3.Excellent Price 17.99 each 4.Only two punctures so far which is good for this time of USA season (Goat heads) Cons: 1.A bit to heavy, have to work harder to maintain my 21mph average on most of my rides. 2.The tires feel a bit wollowy and side walls feel like the rear wheel doesn't have enough air in it after around 7 miles or so, (at present 90 degrees here in California), haven't had that problem before with any other tire used, My tire pressures are 110psi my weight is 180lbs with Colnago V1R bike using Mavic CXR 60 clincher wheel set
Been running these for years and never disappointed. Clydesdales need a high psi and you also get high tpi. Can't go wrong.
Love these tires. Just switched to 25's for a more comfortable ride with no loss in performance.
I like a lot great for all around training
I've been using Vittoria Rubino Pros for several years and they have been unfailingly reliable and durable. Punctures are rare and the milage I get is excellent. The weight is good and the ride and handling more than acceptable. For the price, I couldn't be happier with them.
These tires are the best deal around! Decent mileage, almost no flats, without riding like bricks. And PBK has the best price. Great service, quick ship to California, l would recommend these tires to anyone!
These tires are the best for training, they have a smoother rolling resistance than gatorskins and offer the same comparable puncture protection.
The best training tire i have ridden, low rolling resistance and great puncture protection.
Always by my tires from you guys best price , fast shipping
Good tires. Holding up well at 3,000 miles. No flats. Look good in yellow. Good price on sale
I'm on my 2nd set of Rubino Pros and for durability, price point, and overall performance, you simply can't do better. These tires reflect the best in Italian quality and craftsmanship. I ride in the mountains and always feel secure on fast descents, especially in tight corners. This is the choice for anyone who wants a dependable, fast tire at an unbeatable price.
Been using for 3 years now - they hold up to rough roads, track well in the rain, and haven't seen many flat tires.
Great tires at a great price, fast shipping to the US, very satisfied.
Good racing and training tire, love the color, long lasting also
Quick receipt of my tire order. I always go to PBK first for my bike needs. Less expensive and quick "at my door" delivery.
Contrary to at least one other review, I did, indeed, receive the 150 TPI version III.
I really enjoy Rubino Pro tires and the PBK prices are the best anywhere. Good puncture resistance in a reasonably supple tire. I was a little disappointed, however, to receive RP 2s rather than 3s. I believe the 2s were discontinued in 2011-2012. I doubt I will possibly notice the difference, but the web site needs to be at least accurate. While it does not explicitly say RP III, it does say 150 TPI, and the IIs are 120.
Awesome it's a new experience riding these tires I like the feel I'm a big guy and like the fact that I can go up to 145psi .my first ride I did 35miles and it was great. Thanks
I've bought many tires from PBK and have decided that the VRPCRT are the best ones to date. Rarely a flat and good overall mileage from this tire. Also, gotta have colors on my wheels!
