Great Gravel Tyre

4

I've been using these tyres on my adventure road bike for several months, they're great on gravel and good on the road. The only drawback is that they wear quick if you ride a lot of tarmac but the performance off road outweighs this for me. They can be a bit awkward to fit but persevere and you will have tubeless wonders - I've pulled lots of 1 inch thorns out but the sealant has sealed the hole quickly without much air loss. The price and service from Pro Bike Kit is excellent as always. Thumbs up from me.

Everything came in good. Just waiting on rims to put tires on to.

they work

4

These tires work when sealed. I've had no issues but I do feel they wear out a bit quicker than other tires I've used. But that's to be expected when your ride has more pavement than gravel. As for the reviewer that said there is a wobble even when releasing air and reinflating....I've had that same issue with these tires. Even my soap/water mixture on the bead didn't help (maybe I needed more soap), but then I wiped on silicon spray lubricant with a rag on the bead and I had no issues with it seating. I've never had this issue with schwalbe tubeless. Maybe the michelin sidewalls/bead are a little gripier.

Michelin power gravel

2

Michelin power gravel tyres are great tyres. Fit tubeless well. Fast . Grip well. Don't flat. But they have woeful durability. With a solid centre strip they would be pretty good

Excellent choice

5

I have now gone through 2 sets of the 40mm version on a touring/gravel bike, running them tubeless on Pacenti rims. Yes, it takes a couple of rides for the sealant to fill up all the little leaks, but once it does I have had zero problems. I have used these over a combination of surfaces from bitumen, to coarse gravel, 4 wheel drive tracks, sharp rocks and sand. I have ridden them through streams. I have had zero punctures (that I am aware of). I am astonished at what they have tolerated. I have now done thousands of kilometres on them, including most riding with panniers. I have had the pressures anywhere between 25 and 70 PSI, depending on the terrain. At high pressures they roll on bitumen well and on low pressures grip well on gnarly gravel. The rear tyres wear out after about 2000km of rough treatment each time, with the nobbles being worn flat, so they are not like a really tough touring tyre eg. Schwalbe Marathon - but that is not what you are buying them for. Highly recommend

Solid choice

4

Great service from Pro Bike and tires received on time. Unboxing these tires the quality of the product is evident and the tread and sidewalls are quite robust for the weight. Mounting was a chore and half on my Alex Boondock wheels but easy on my Mavic Allroads which are UST tubeless. Took a bit more time and sealant than I am used to with my road wheels to get them to hold air but now running well. Once mounted they are dead true and round as good as any tire I've owned. Wear is quite minimal so far after several hundred km's largely on the road and the compound works well dry or wet. Cornering stability and grip is superb on road with no vagueness or squirm at reasonable pressures and at all lean angles. Off road cornering is also very good with some concern with larger rocks and gravel only due to the tires relatively small size. Tight small knobs not ideal for mud but for most trail conditions these are a solid allround choice. Speed - they feel great on gravel and dirt with good speed an low rolling resistance. On pavement they are a little draggy but not bad, actually feel quicker at somewhat lower pressures for me that is 45psi on a 23mm internal width rim at 190lbs. No flats to date. Would buy again especially at this price.

Michelin Power Grave Tyre

5

I bought this tyre in 40 mm size which is my preferred size for the sort of gravel I ride on. I live on a gravel and regularly ride from here on a variet of surfaces. The Michelin has a nicely rounded profile and a very supple ride. It’s tread is made up of numerous small blocks which offer sufficient grip to cope with a range of gravel from small through to small rounds. On sealed roads it rolls well and offers a good compromise for different surfaces. The tyre is tubeless ready and a tight fit on the rim. It copes well with a range of pressures and I have run it between 35 and 60 psi. Overall I think this is a good tyre at a good price.

Grvl.tyre

Nice width & rounded profile, very nice combo of gravel & snow grip vs low rolling resistance . Only wonder about quality of casing, can't get it to centre on the rim despite attempts at letting out all air & re-inflating, still has hops & wobbles (radial & axial run out). Not noteciable on gravel & snow, but a concern on smooth pavement at higher speed.

Great Tires

5

Put a 700x35 on my gravel bike and these are sure nice tires. Easy to install tubeless. I was able to roll these onto my rims with my hands and then using my floor pump got them to seat. Riding on the road feels really good so far. No soft drag from these. Excellent traction on the trails and fire roads. I would say that the 700x35 runs a bit smaller. I have a 700x33 and plan to put that on the front. Not sure yet how these will hold up but with such a good price at the Probikekit, it would make sense to change them often.

Nice Tire

5

I bought this tire hopefull that I could use them tubeless on a tubed rim. I had struggled for years getting tires to seal on these wheels with tires that were tubeless ready. I could tell right away these were different and fit tight on the wheels. Tape was used on the wheels and boy do they hold pressure. They ride great. I have put 200 gravel miles on them in two weeks with zero issues.
