Good training tire

Bought these on sale. Always used Panaracer and Continental tires before. The sale price was the decision factor. They are stable, smooth, and seem very puncture resistant. I ride on open traffic roads, averaging 500 miles a month. The tire holds well in all situations wet or dry. They do however seem to have a higher rolling resistance than my old Continental GP 5000 and Ultra Sport. These are 25mm and all my others were 23mm so I am still in the comparing stages. They have 1500 miles on them now and the overall wear is very acceptable.

Great value training tire

I had good luck with these in the past (over typically bad Midwest rural roads) so happy to find again on sale. Unbeatable value in a durable all-around training tire.

Decent quality for the price

5

Bought these as needed a cheap pair of road bike tyres to keep me going for the time being. These are surprisingly much better than I expected. They don’t seem overly puncture resistant compared to my usual tyres but I’ve now done quite a number of rides with them and had no issues whatsoever. They were also a third of the price of my usual tyres. They do offer great grip. Would definitely recommend if they are on offer!

Poor quality

Very poor structure to these tyres, side wall separated whilst being inflated. Won't be buying Michelin tyres again!

Great tires

I previously used the Lithion 2, but the reviews on the 3 were great so gave them a try and I’m very happy. I believe they have more corner grip than the 2. Very smooth rolling and only time will tell on the wear factor.

Good Value

Solid Value. My first 25mm tires, noticed they smoothed out rough pavement. I've ridden ProRace 3&4 for awhile and these do not feel as responsive as those, but I paid half the price. Just started seeing casing weave come through the center tread on my rear and they have been on 2,000 miles. Was hoping for a bit more, but at this price point the value per mile is still there. Would buy again for value training tire.

Great Training Tires

5

I've always ridden with 23 mm tires. But I made a decision to purchase the 25mm tires. My previous training tires were the Lithion 2. I really liked them because of the price point and good performance. When I fitted my wheels with the Lithion 3 tires, I was less than excited with my first 100 miles. I felt the tires were slowing me down. But this was due to the tire pressure. I thought I could go with a much lower tire pressure. But after some trial and error, I found the sweet spot for my front (85 psi) and rear tires (90 psi). Rolling Resistance: There's slightly more rolling resistance with the Lithion 3 versus the Lithion 2. But that's okay for training tires. Resistance is a good thing. I would not race with these tires. Puncture Resistance: So far, I've only had one puncture with these tires. The tire appears to be more puncture resistant than the Lithion 2. Part of it is due to switching from 23mm to 25 mm and running with a lower tire pressure. Comfort: Tires are comfortable on the road. My arms and tailbone have appreciated having tires that can absorb more of the bumps on the road. Weather: I feel a little more confident riding in the rain with the Lithion 3. I haven't had any slipping issues (corning and painted surfaces) during the several rides I had in the rain. Price: You can't beat the price.

Bought these tires to replace my Michelin Pro4 which were falling apart . They look great and install easily without tools. They perform very well on the road.
