5,000k & No Flats Yet

4

My set got squared off pretty quickly, but that didn't mean they were worn out. I have no less than 5,000k on my set and they are still going strong. Not a single flat and they aren't terribly cut up either. For a tire so durable and resistant, they ride very nicely. I bought them on the cheap, but may buy more because it's a nice assurance knowing how strong a tire is on my wheels while out training.

great training tire that you can race on, but careful in the wet

4

I've been riding Krylions off and on for a few seasons now. The best thing about them is their durability and puncture resistance. I used to spend a lot of training time by the side of the road changing flats; now I only get a couple per season, usually when the rear tire's nearly worn out.

I've had a few scary slides in the damp/wet in "winter" in the San Francisco Bay Area. I think I'll try the GP4000 four-season next winter.

I run the Pro Race 3 on the front and the Krylion on the rear. The Pro Race lasts a long time on the front, and the extra grip is welcome for fast descents down the mountain roads here.

If this tire had better grip in the wet, I'd give it five stars. I've raced on these tires and frankly couldn't tell the difference to running Pro Race 3s at both ends.

Low resistance good looking tyre.

4

I put these on in the Spring (2011) and have found them to give low rolling resistance and maintain there colour, mine are black/red. They have been on all kinds of road surface and although not as forgiving as my Winter choice , Conti GP4 Seasons, they are by no means unconfortable. I will be buying more especially if these great offers keep coming.

great training tires

5

A good value for a tire: one of Michelin's most resistant tire, yet still very fast on the roads. If you're going to have 1 pair of michelins on your bike to race+train, I would choose them over the prorace.

The best tyre I have ever ridden.

5

This tyre is fantastic. I have ridden it as a courier in Minneapolis in the terrible roads this spring season and encountered NO problems whatsoever. It can be hard to seat on a rim, but soap and water make it slide on just fine. The first time I mounted these tyres, I could immediately notice the difference in how fast I could accelerate. I have ridden one pair over 4.000 miles! (~6,500 km). The ride quality is excellent. Cornering is smooth and reliable. This is a truly versatile tyre with excellent qualities for everyday use!

Very happy

5

After having a very poor run with the Pro Race 3, I switched to these tyres. After to months I am yet to have a flat and the tread itself has withstood the glass very well. I will use these for training and some racing from now on as they feel fast enough and I don't have to panic any time I go anywhere near some broken glass. 5 stars.

I have used these for over 5000km and it's still rolling. Insanely low price for great value.

Amazing durability, great performance, and surprising comfort

5

Michelin's highly regarded Krylion tires are famous for their durability. You can expect these tires to yield thousands of miles, irrespective of terrain. However, unlike most of Michelin's competitors in the "durable tire market," these are not merely rock-hard, puncture resistant training tires that trade off performance for durability. When I first put these tires on I was blown away by the "feel" of the ride. It was surprisingly smooth, much smoother than the ride I got with the non-puncture resistant tires I substituted the Krylion's for. The performance was equally as pleasing. These tires roll as well as, if not better, than any I've used previously. I can't recommend these tires highly enough.

Fantastic multi purpose tire

5

I picked up a set of these after shredding a set of Vittoria's on mixed pavement touring Asia. I was hooked, put about 8-9000km on some of the most challenging terrain. The ProRace3's are a good race day compliment to this tire, however 90% of my training is done on these tires. Surprising amount of grip even in the wet or on gravel, the only con I have found is that they don't come in orange.

great long lasting tire

4

great tire, they feel fast and seem like they are bullet proof. i ran over cut glass numerous times in their 4000k life and only got 3 punctures in the last few k's. hard to get onto rims the first time but after that is easy. great value and great for training and racing
