Best high-speed commuters. Period.

These tires have seen everything : dirt, rocky ground, rain, snow, mud, glass, metal shards, you name it! I've never had a single puncture with these, and I feel very comfortable riding them at around 50 kph in traffic. The handling and braking is awesome for such a solid tyre.

Would recommend to anyone - plus they're so cheap on this website!

maybe I was unlucky

3

Not sure if I was just unlucky but I had more punctures on these than my Michelin Krylions (which were cheaper and rolled better). I had several deep cuts through the tyre wall within 1500km which isn't great.

If you want supreme puncture resistance and can spare the coin go for a Schwalbe Durano Plus.

Great all around

I use these on my commuter and I can think of no complaints. The tire is great in any type of weather, rolls fast, is very durable, and just excellent for the price.

I use these tyres for training, and I have never had a flat. I would highly recommend them.

Grips/Corners well, not as durable as advertised.

3

This tire grips very well and works well under wet conditions. It just isn't as durable as I had hoped. Granted, I do ride on busy streets most of the time, but the Michelin Krylions perform just fine on those same streets. My main issue with these is the sidewall. Most of my problems have come from small nicks or tears in the sidewall. A few things have cut the tire, and I've hosed a set of these tires in 1,500 miles or less. Krylions last me about 4,000. Panaracer T-servs usually get up to 5. I think continental is really really close to a 4/5 star tire, just not there yet. And the advertising I am talking about isn't from PBK. It's the local bike shops and local riders mostly.

Bomber tires for commuting

5

I've put on over 2000 miles on these tires so far and haven't had a single flat. They're totally bomber.

I just cant find a better training clincher

Gators are like wearing two condoms, bit over the top but as safe as you can get!
Lets face it you never want to get flats and with Gators, unless you are silly you never will.
Commute or training, I race on tubs, but where I have had big cross winds I have run them in races and they do fine (well... better than I do in big cross winds!)

Excellent tyres - long lasting, strong and low rolling resistance

5

Love my Gatorskins - just recently installed the new pair of 700x25's I purchased here at PBK for my classic Bianchi.

These are the folding tyres, a bit more expensive than the wire-rim ones but pack small, are easy to ship and carry as a spare on a long tour.

These tyres are very popular here, our cycling club members use them in many bikes. Their puncture resistance, long life and build quality, plus the Continental reputation, make them favourites.

My old 700x23 pair is still in use, just moved to another bike that's not used as often, and will have another couple thousand kilometres life left for sure.

Great tyres, handmade in Germany.

Good durable tire for commuting and training

5

This tire is very sturdy but has still considerably supple feel, got the 25mm version, the tire did well over the winter, not as fast as the Conti 4 season but cheaper. Good tire for the intended purpose, to slow for a real race tire even for races in bad weather there are better choices out there.

Great high mileage tire!

5

I have used this tire for three seasons. The set I used two seasons ago lasted 5,000 miles. I replaced that set the first time I got a flat. The current set has around 3,500 miles with no flats. I recently raced over cinders with no flats. About once a month I dig the glass shards out of the tire. This tire picks up glass but refuses to let the the shards through. Not the fastest rolling tires but if you value security at high speed this tire is for you!
