Ionic is a new seatpost design featuring the sophisticated and robust 3T-0 exclusive DiffLock seat clamp. Ionic-0 places the seat clamp assembly in line with the seatpost for zero setback.
Many athletes seeking outright speed favour this more forward position on the bike. Some frame designers are also specifying a slacker seat tube so riders can set their bike up with an inline post which is lighter than a setback post.
The splined alloy DiffLock coupling is a highly-accurate method of setting saddle angle needing only lightweight clamping by side-mounted bolts. It is especially useful for fine adjustment of saddle setback which can be done without impacting saddle angle. Ionic-0 Team Stealth has a carbon-fiber shaft bonded into an alloy head and is finished in the elegant stealth livery.

3T Ionic 'Stealth' Seatpost
A fantastic lightweight carbon seatpost with innovative difflock to prevent unwanted tilt or slipping. For micro adjustment turn the outer barrel on notch forward then the inner barrel one notch back. On the surface this is a fantastic alternative to the standard bicycle seatpost making it inherently impossible for your seat to tilt away from your ideal riding position once set. One warning. The seatpost was tested with two separate saddles. After only a few miles riding the saddle/seatpost combination sent distracticing creaks and clicks all the way through my frame. I have since eliminated this and am genrally impressed with the seatpost. Below are my suggestions how: 1. Use a carbon assembly paste between the seatpost shaft and the frame. 2. Grease both barrels of the Difflock machanism. 3. Apply wet lube between the saddle and saddle rails. 4. Wrap a little electrical tape around the saddle rails where they interface with the difflock. This will insulate against any metal to metal creaks. 5. Tighten the seatpost to max torque 7Nm. It did the trick for me and has stopped many miles of distracting saddle / seatpost noises.
