Best Road Pedals

I used the Time Xpresso 6's all last year. They are outstanding! Easy to clip in and snappy exit as well. They are super light. The cleats do wear from walking on them but that doesn't affect the operation and is to be expected. The pedals themselves have have withstood a couple of scrapes on the tarmac and me hammering on them all season doing centuries, and climbs as well as our weekly hammerfest. I upgraded to the 12s because my 6s were white which did not match my bike and I had got them cheap on closeout and didn't want to splurge on the high end without trying them out first. I fully expect the 12s to be as good operationally as the 6s and they have been the two times I've ridden them so far. Lighter and awesome looks is a win win. The only thing to watch is the front where cleat meets the pedal is really sharp. If you miss your cleat engagement and hit your shin it could slice you pretty good. I've heard some people file the sharp points to dull it and it doesn't affect operation.

xpresso is great

I have always worn time, ever since Lemond, I have every iteration. I even use IClic on a road bike, but these are great. They are light and do the job well. I like there concept and would highly recommend these pedals. They satisfy the weight weenies in all of us. Great service and shipping to the US. Thanks

Xpresso Titian

Got these to replace Iclik which were stolen. These are lighter and snapping in is even easier. Lighter and easier engagment what's not to like. Also PBK's price was very good

Time Xpresso12 Tatan Carbon Pedals

I have only had these pedals a short time, so I can't comment on their longevity, but during the time I have had them, I have found the following: Very easy to get in and out of. I was concerned about the engagement at first, but they are very fast. I agree with a previous reviewer... due to the weight of the pedal, they do not always hang the way they really should. These pedals are very light weight. I just hope the construction holds up. I am a larger person. I usually like to ride with pedal extenders. The pedals are very difficult to install with extenders. I opted to go without the extenders because I didnt want to damage the pedal housing trying to attach them to the extender. Over all, so far, I am happy with the product. Time will tell if they continue to impress me.

Fantastic pedal

I was a die hard Speedplay X/1 WW rider for many years, but decided to try the Xpresso 12s after some good reviews, and wanting to see if I could get more support from a pedal, while maintaining the great bio-mechanical benefits of some free play. The Xpresso 12s delivered in spades. Pros: They are the same weight as the X/1s but the cleats are 60 grams lighter. I can feel a huge improvement in the platform support. They have great free float but have enough of an elastic feel to remind your foot where it is supposed to be (not the slipping on ice feeling of the X/1s but better float than any other pedal I've tried). Cons: You can't beat the "stomp and go" of Speedplay. The Xpresso's are easy to get into if you they are in the right position, but they are so light that sometimes they don't hang in a predictable position, I sometimes loose a little time when clipping in, but I feel like they make up for it in foot support and when I'm applying power.
