These pedals were half the price that I found anywhere else. I'm very happy with them. These are the first road pedals that I've ever used and they are beginner-friendly.
Great savings thanks for a fast shipment
Should have been 5 excellent stars. If not for the tracking, specially those ordering abroad. But other than that. Parcel came on time and in perfect condition. Planning to order more soon. More powers to all at the Probikekit. :-)
Love the pedals. lightweight and easy to get in and out of.
Bought these as an upgrade to R540's I had. The are a little lighter and wider (which improves foot comfort on long rides). However they seem a harder to clip into than the R540's. Overall a great price on solid pedals.
I was a little worried about ordering from a company from across the pond and how long it would take to have delivery to the United States. The price of these pedals and the quality is superb. But the excellent customer satisfaction from not only the pedals, but probike kit had the pedals shipped the next day and on my doorstep here in the states in a week. I will be ordering more from here.
I run 6800 ultegra pedals on one bike and these on another. The ultegras are sweet, but these, for 1/2 the price here on PBK, do a great job. Nice product for sure, especially at the price. A huge upgrade over the 540s I was using before.
Although I've been running aluminium Shimano 105 pedals for years and years, when I recently needed a new pair of cleats (largely due to my neighbor building a mud puddle to keep pesky cyclists off his road) I was pleasantly surprised to find the PD-R550 pedals listed on PBK for not much more than the cost of a new pair of cleats only here in the States. When they arrived, they seemed a little heavier than the 105s, but not too much, and the bearings were definitely not as smooth. I'm a little curious how the composite material will last, abrasion-wise, over time. On riding, I found that I haven't yet missed a single clip-in on starting from a stop. I'm not sure if this is due to the pedals being new, the shape of the pedal, or some characteristic of the composite material, but I don't ever remember my aluminium 105s being so consistent. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the price and performance, and since I don't race (well, in sanctioned races anyway) I'm not worried about a few extra grams. I'm quite happy with this purchase and with PBK's price.
Within spitting distance of Ultegra pedals for a whole lot less money
